  • If the air hole gets flooded / leaks, just turn the Kayfun upside down with a piece of bog roll over the air hole and blow it out. Happens now and then, but is worth the tiny amount of hassle it produces.

  • Got the KayFun Lite working!?! It's great! This is what I've wanted all along!

I'll chuck the Roller on it tomorrow, bit scared of it atm... ;)

  • I'd change the wick when vapour production tails off or it starts tasting funky...

or just a bit of dry burn and 'dud' drags to get some fresh juice in there.

  • I was a bit scared of mechs at first too. Probably a healthy fear to have! Nothing to worry about though. I fcuked up pretty badly and ended up with nothing worse than a melted insulator.

No dry burns on cotton wicks! Fire in the face otherwise.

  • the OG RoboCock™ is still going strong after nearly 7 months of deleicious service, and as a result i know about as much about the vagaries of vaping now as i did then, which is nothing.

    Am i doing it wrong?

Sounds like the kind of experience I'm looking for- don't need another 'hobby' to piss money on.

Having said that I might upgrade just one time....

  • If it keeps you satisfied and off the stinkies, you are doing everything right!

  • i beheld the eldritch majesty of son of RoboCock...

    MOTHER OF GOD - YouTube

  • went for the nature vape one in the end as it seemed to have the best reviews and leat chance of me fookin it up [thanks for the linky butters]

It's arrived with some concentrated liquid, I'm presuming that I can't just put that straight in the tank?

  • Yep - that's eliquid, not DIY mixing nicotine concentrate or anything. The free stuff you get with kits is often pretty sub-standard, but should give you an idea of what could be.

  • The raspberry that it comes with is ok, I bought a cigarette tasting one too but that was disgusting. Won't be trying the mint one anytime soon so if anyone wants that let me know.

  • I'm not into menthol either.

If you are looking for a tobacco one, maybe try T&H Bronze or Tribeca. I usually don't like tobacco flavour juices, but these two are an exception. TS has tried a load more of the TripHammer juices, but their high VG content may clog smaller devices. Tribeca is a lower VG level, so shouldn't cause too much trouble.

  • I like the Trip Hammer TRIPY4 (12mg) . It is a classically nice compromise between smokey and sweet caramel.

I also nicked some Black Panther from TS. It was nice, but the 18mg strength is a little heavy for me.

I use(d) both in my standard eGo-C with no issues.

  • Tempted to trip some of that TripY4. I really liked a couple of the RY4 blends I've had in the past, but I've also had some shockingly awful ones which makes me a bit nervous of ordering it. It was always the cheap ones that were awful though.

  • First night 'out' with the vape in hand and I lost it.

What is the next step from the naturevape starter kit? I don't want to buy the same thing again and be reminded of my loss each time I use it.

  • Bugger!!

I guess it's Vamo if you want variable wattage, or a mech mod if you want more power than a Vamo can deliver. I think the Kayfun is my favourite atomiser still and clones can be had for cheap.

Good stuff often pops up on here:

  • Cheap Vision Spinner (variable voltage battery):

    http://ukvapers.org/Thread-For-Sale-Vision-Spinner-650mah

  • Vamo's build quality isn't great, I dropped mine (not from a great height, I might add) and it's falling apart as a consequence...

Still can't get my Roller to fire, I'm gonna have to take it apart... Dragsville...

  • BTW Object mentioned there's a place in the east end selling vape supplies now, true or false?

Apparently Brighton have three vape stores now!

  • You can rebuild a Vamo. There's a video on YouTube of a guy in some sort of factory doing it. Might shed some light on how to fix yours.

Problem with the Roller must be to do with the positive pin not making contact with the atty? It's adjustable isn't it? The Kayfun is defo not adjustable + pin.

Maybe this one in the east:

London prices by the sounds of it.

  • First night 'out' with the vape in hand and I lost it.

This has happened to me twice before. It usually involves buses...

Now I get a reasonable system at the £40 mark for two.

This idea of paying £100 plus for a eCig is beyond me...

  • first impressions on the naturevape kit.

That's a lot of bang for your buck right there, If you're a bit of a numpty like me then they've done a lot of the graft in putting together a package that would suit most people who wanted to try a vape. It's a world apart form the standard e-cigs. In fact it took a little bit of getting used to as the vape consistency was much richer than the previous ecig I was using. The adjustability of the power unit is a welcome addition as well.

I found that some of the fruitier liquids I was using are now too pronounced in the naturevape kit and I'm preferring the tobacco flavoured liquids.

Minor gripe, there is absolutley no info that comes with the kit on how to assemble or operate it but there are plenty of resources around the place

    Cheers for the advice Butters

  • Didn't go down the Vamo route, instead got a larger capacity Spinner battery and a mini Davide clearomiser- essentially the same as previous set up but minor improvements.

Mini Davide doesn't have much air resistance on the inhale but is a little better finished than the naturevape offering, the battery collar is much better.

Still using the same liquids that came with the original kit and looking forward to trying some better liquids in this unit- is going for 100% VG worth the limit it puts on choice?

  • is going for 100% VG worth the limit it puts on choice?

I don't think so. I mixed some 60VG / 40PG the other week and have vaped it all, but it didn't have much flavour or throat hit. I think I will go for 60PG / 40VG next.

  • Ah ok, I was thinking that 100% VG is somehow 'better' for you, is this not the case?

  • I guess it might be, but you won't be able to taste much and the throat hit won't really happen. You will get a massive cloud of vapour though.

VG is cough medicine. PG is in a load of food. I think most doctors agree that either is way better than smoking.

100% VG in a small clearo will clog pretty quick. It's meant for the cloud chasing RDA people.
