I love that Davidson, I second the comment above, I would love to do a stell cross, but such frames seem to be pretty rare - well, less common than road frames..... where should I be looking, apart from here of course?

Thanks Mentats, i am also very low on funds, as I have just built a Mercian tandem. Trying to build most of it from my parts bin. I can upgrade components over time. Besides, its going to be a beater anyway.
Andrew, I think there are quite a few around....Seen a bundle on ebay and lfgss. Post a wanted add....... and....Use the search engine. http://www.lfgss.com/thread95038.html
.....Hope you have some luck. -

these bars to replace the tatty death-trap-but-fantastic-shocking pink- ones.

I think I may have some mega colour clash going on. I don't really care......
These water slide transfers arrived today. Ordered from the interweb……..LUCKY SKULL down the seat-tube and fork blades………oh dear.

Another splendid project Luke
Looking your raver colourscheme, the front wheel I've just built for my whip would probably look better on your bike than it does on mine...
(Aerotrack Flouro-Pink Rim on Miche Hub) - fire me a PM if you're interested
(it's looks orange in the pic, but it's pink in daylight)

"O" is looking rad Rik. I have just picked up a wheelset. the fluo pink is tempting though........
i have been in classic bike mode for past few years. all the suppression of lurid colour is manifesting itself in this build.

Pretty much the same story here - concentrating too hard on good taste at the potential expense of amusement...
I'll be riding the bike next week when I come round for the black frame - see if you're tempted then! -

this makes me want to convert the Raleigh.

after seeing your nice yellow Plum, i'm thinking i should step away from the neon pink spray paint......

The Davidson bike is lovely. I'm following your project with a keen interest.
This maybe bike no 6. perhaps I should stop browsing the current projects section.
Lovely chainset by the way - I used to have one many moons ago. -

^ Victory chainsets are really nice, I used to have one too - shame about the obscure BCD - I assume the stocks of chainrings must be depleting by now... I think it shared a BCD with Miche Junior and Monolithic Chainsets.
If you're interested in a frameset with canti bosses and horizontal dropouts I have one for sellz.....
(Excuse the commercial thread-Hijack) -

your selling the L'Eroica rat? after all you have been through? think of the good times.

Whilst looking in my parts bin for...... parts. I came across this Nervar chain set? Has built in bash guard...... make it single(though 48t is smaller ring than i would really like). Deda Dog Fang other side. Looks to be quite tough. Maybe better than the victory...??......I also have to find the other side.

Check the pedal threads - I had a Nervar like that, polished up to a mirror finish, again a wierd BCD but I found a nice 1/8" Stronglight ring - it was all going so well until I went to fit the pedals and found they were 14mm not 9/16".

9/16"......phew! pedals fit, but still only right side. dam!

Some inspiration?

9/16"......phew! pedals fit, but still only right side. dam!
Just find an old Shimano 600 / Suntour Cyclone / etc left crank arm in the same length.

that bike made me smile. though I think mine will be a alot more dorky and ratty. like a tramp in an awesome pair of trainers.
good advice on the left hand arm, they are very close in aesthetic........would still rather have a matching set.
