    cheers

I've moved heaven and earth to get in shape for this, but I'll still be a fat, old knacker.

    You'll be fine I'm sure.

Are there going to be Friday beers in Gaoile?

  • Friday beers, sounds good!

So how are your bikes? Let's see some pics!

Finished the 1st rideable version of my late 1960s Vittorio (Alkmaar, NL) today. This veritable mismash of a racer rides very well and fast but needs a rear derailleur (now DA 1st gen) without play.
And preferrably some more patina on the too new seatpost which has a very odd size, 26.6mm. The frame has (a very nice old school) Columbus decal though.
Mavic MA2 rims (laced to 1970s high flange Record hubs). Universal brakes (eeeeeek! better brake early/constantly on descents).
French touch: Pivo bar and stem, TA chainset 52/38, Sunrace pignon 14-26, 28mm Michelin dynamic classic tyres. Brooks professional saddle.

  • nice bike ...

mine still need some air in the tyres, oil for the chain and a testride.

small teaser for now ... more pics when all is set up.

  • Those look great. I'm on the same bike I rode last year with some minor alterations (tyres/headset/pedals) Say Hi if you see me.

  • ^ classy, in a beautiful colour - was there gold dust involved? ;-)

Schnitter is that a B in the stays? can't make it out well

  • Edi Strobl ;)

  • Happytramp, that is a classy looking ride.

Here's my supermarket Peugeot, now in its third year at l'Eroica.

  • Like the saddle bag. What's the story with the bottle cage? Is there something wrong with me? I honestly can't see it

  • Definetely beers on the Friday! Me and my cycle buddy Nick are back this year, him officially and me joining in the fun a little way down the road - probably sporting last years number for fun. We are trying to secure Whiskey a go-go's sound system for the Friday night and are looking to play a load of fine Brit fare - Kinks, Stranglers, Small Faces etc. Not sure why but we planned it pissed about 11 months ago and are still keen. Ridiculously out of shape this year after starting my own business but can't wait anyway. 4 nights in Gaiole this time...

  • ^sounds fun. We are in for it.

If anyone from the london area is struggling To get there ride to
l'eroica Pm as i may be able to help. As I'm driving down there again in a van.
