Didn't want to use electrical tape in case I decide to remove it and in the process of packing up the house and I canny find any anyway....
-
• #359
My bad, I thought they were silver fizik jobbies.

^^ fair do's!
cloth tape would also look boss, or cloth tape under the microtex would add a bit of padding.
mmm imagine a bit of purple poking through the microtex perforation

Has anyone installed Nitto plugs? They go in most of the way but there's a tiny bit poking out. Can't get it to shift.
-
• #362
^^the purple poking through does sound boss!
-
• #364
Ahh yes. They're fine to go all the way in without tape. But ad soon as the tapes on, it won't go in all the way...

This has turned out so fucking nice Jake
+1 to Lizard Skins and 2.5 or gtfoYeah gonna have to take it off anyway. Need to move seat post down, its too high for me at the moment.

It's not designed to go in with the tape.

I just took a knife to the rubber expander. Cut it down a bit (a lot) - i.e. make it narrower - and they'll go in even with fat-ass Fizik Dual.

Did as ed said and got it in without the tape. The lip of the silver end bit covers up edge of tape anyway so it looks alright.
Thanks for the compliments guys.
George - god damn it! At least the frame is different this time!

Took her out yesterday for the first time. Apart from it being my first brklzz ride ever, whilst on the cocktail ride no less, I enjoyed it so much. It feels so tight and smooth (euph not intended) to ride, its so twitchy and maneuverable. I can feel no road buzz at all either, which is wonderful.
The bars let you really push it when out of the saddle too, they're ace, and of course, the wheels make such a satisfying womwomwom noise when accelerating. All in all, I couldn't be happier.

no spokk, no wom!!! glad to hear you're enjoying it!
-
• #372
It definitely whoms!!!!
-
• #373
now for a sunday of filing so you can slam that wheel?
-
• #374
Have you been filing the axle or the dropouts?
My Corima's axle is slightly too big to go in my forks, and was wondering about filing the threads off one side of the axle to slim it down, rather than filing my forks (don't want to, especially on the Pana...)
Is this advisable?

^ yeah my gitane forks wont go on any of my front wheels, im just filing down the axle not the forks
I agree, but I whipped this together and I do like a lot. Because of the saddle and deep black wheels, I think the bars need to be wrapped black too...
