There are better suited riders coming through.
To put it in perspective, shanaze's best 250 is a good 2-3 tenths off what's needed these days.
I guess you can find extra tenths, (and most GB team have probably moved on by similar percentages), but I take your point.
Who will step into the team sprint with Jess Varnish?

My thoughts are that currently there is no female that can chase a mid 18 lap like Vix could. So Jess will step up into the full role and starting looking for a new woman one. There Is a few younger girls coming through who have got 4 years to make the grade.

I think it is a bit over exposed, but thanks.
They all have their warm up gear on, because I wanted to concentrate not wave round a camera during the events.

Vicks applying quarter of a tonne of Claw pressure.
Anna's bravest grin grimace, hissing, "gold gold fucking gold!" through her teeth.

All open to interpretation.
Can't say I've watched it more than the replays that were shown, however I'd prefer to see consistency in the judging as there were similar infringements in the men's races with no rels.
I'm being objective though, as I never thought vic would get meares this year
Have you been working at the velodrome during these Olympics, Rob?

The outstanding success of British Cycling leaves very little room for sentiment it seems

maybe they are thinking of the future of british cycling
the youngsters still did us proud and now they are a tight knit cohesive group who can work with each other to improve their times performances and encourage more youngsters
i guess we only see the performance the smiles and the gold medals, we don't see the politics behind the scenes ( thank goodness ) -

Given that Rowsell, King, Trott was clearly the established line up throughout 2012 surely it was naive to think that she was going to be in the team?
If the women's team pursuit hadn't set a world record on every one of their last six outings there might be some sympathy with her claims, but as it stands you can't really disagree with the selectors.
They picked a team who got the job done in style. Whatever the reason for her exclusion, she doesn't come across as a team player in these interviews.
There are better suited riders coming through.
