DQ from what, the team sprint? That one is just utter bollocks from the commi. It was actually a relegation as well, not a dq.
yeah, but there was a precedent for it from the world championships. I agree it's unfair, but it's part of the sport and you wont win without working with anal commissars.
She had such a good chance at getting at least 2 golds. She said she was relieved to retire, presumably because of the controversy she recieved from the squad over her relationship with her coach. The fact she got 2 major decisions against her makes me wonder if the same would have happened without all that negativity.
Or maybe I'm just introducing an X-factor narrative like everyone else.

Victoria came out of the sprinter's lane twice, once "bouncing back" from Anna's nudge just after turn 4, then again, unprovoked before the finish line...

What leads a lot of the riders to ride gloveless? And some to use gloves?

.
The infringements in the worlds were actually valid and were for a different reason, as I understand it.
The GB girls relegation was based on a new rule made up on the spot from what I've seen. Fair enough if they began the change before 15m before the pursuit line, or failed to complete it before 15m after the pursuit line, but the replay they kept showing with the overlap on the pursuit line is utter bollocks. -

Just need Shanaze Reade to seal the deal now. An chance she will come back to the track long term?

TBH it looked to me at the time (and before any mention on commentary was made) that 'Anna's Elbow' was actually a fast reaction to Vicky's move to her right.

No chance. Doubt she'll gold the BMX though, have you seen how good Buchannan and the others are? Hope I'm wrong but...

If Mark Cavendish is inspired by the track success then what must the young 'uns feel watching this?
With world class Velodromes in London AND Manchester, we could do even better in Rio.
BurgetBetInternational won't allow it.
Opposition funding will be high enough to buy back all their coaches and tech.

Easily the most exciting. My folks have been loving it. Even without the British success the whole event's had it all, but it's obviously been extra special because of it. Stupendous atmosphere too. It's been a pearler.

3.2.042 During the final sprint, even if launched before the last 200 metres, *each rider* shall [B]remain in his lane up to the finish, unless he has at least a clear cycle-length lead and shall not make any manoeuvre to prevent the opponent from passing./B.
3.2.044 A rider passing on the right of his opponent, who is in the sprinters’ lane, may not crowd him or cause him suddenly to reduce speed.Anna never crosses into Vicky's sprint lane.
Vicky puts her arm out first.
Anna puts her elbow out in response to Vicky's. As Vicky doesn't slow this doesn't breach rule 32044.
Vicky leaves her lane and slows Meares - breaching 32024.
You're welcome to watch my HD replay over and over again until you also agree with the commis.
