Velocio - I'd like a patch, but I understand that you're the one making it and then being caught short.

What about those who want one pay up front? When the word is out that they'll be created, set a cut-off date for payment and then with the money taken get the patches made. Hopefully this will make collection easier since people always want what they've paid for. Apologies if you've thought of this and it's not workable, but I'm sure many on here want cool shwag but don't like seeing you caught out.

I just messaged Velocio and said pretty much the same thing before i read this. I think that it should work.

You could make qwality leather patches, too.

That I'm making them, haven't said such a thing at all.

What the hell is wanted?

We've proposed patches, but as pointed out it will be hard to affix in a way that respects the technical qualities of courier bags.

What is the point we're trying to fulfil? Just to make patches? Well, anyone who wants to feel free.

Or is it to have something that most people could affix to their bag or bike in some way that could be seen by others?

In which case is a patch the best way?

Why not a distinctive bottle opener with a loop to easily hook through bag straps or saddle rails?

If you want to make something for the hell of it, I'm out.

If you want to make something that is distinctive, high quality and lots of people want and are willing to pay for, then I'm in.

But so far I see no proof that patches fulfil that definition.

Well i wanted something made so people would notice it and of course high quality and if a lot of people want it. What is your suggestion? You don't think patches are the way to go no? It was just an idea to make patches if anyone has any better ideas let me know. Black rainbow project could make a special edition LFGSS key clip that would be pretty cool not that those key clips are not cool already. But hey i'm all for thinking this through and taking into consideration the pros and cons. I only wanted to start a list to see how many people would be up for it. But I'd like to hear other peoples ideas on what they think would be a good way to get the forums name out there and for other people on the forum to notice you on your daily commute.

what'd they cost, say 50 pence?

i dunno, bit of a commitment, tentative dibs, etc..

Must say that caps are always out of stock. I'm pretty sure a re-run of those would be more successful than a badge.

That said though, I'm down for a patch.

DanniLindsey, Velocio is under no obligation to make anything. He runs LFGSS and runs it well and it seems to take up a lot of his time.

If you want patches then go ahead and make some patches, I'm sure that they would sell like hot cakes on here. I think it's cool idea. £5 and give 50p to the forum and keep 50p for yourself then £4 shout cover the costs (all speculation) but there is not a company behind the forum that is obliged to do it for you....

That said though, I'm down for a patch.

I had some earlier in the year, and then was under the impression if I got another 200 that I might be left with some.

I'll make some more as soon as the factory comes back from their summer break, but they won't be ready until late September early November at the earliest (Italian factories and schedules are not renowned for fast turnarounds).
