I'd be so up for these...

Oh wow alot of replies. Well maybe instead of being sow on they can be iron on if you think it would effect the water proofness of ya bag, but yeah i'm liking the response.

The patch my mum sewed on for me when I was 8 was originally an iron on but it kept coming loose and so she had to sew it on. While iron on technology may have improved in the last 46 or 47 years, I think that this is a relevant issue and one that should not be overlooked.

Badges would be better done by mutley or brp, no?
Am i missing an obvious connection here between making hand made messenger bags of the highest quality with military spec fabrics and hardwear....and making badges???
They'd be better done by 8 year old children who are a bit special, or fixed gear clothing brands who make oversized trucker caps intended to be balanced on the top of hipsters heads.
Murtle might be up for it though. ;]

Mechanical fixing is better than adhesive.
Both shoukd be done under the supervision of a grown up.I had a waistcoat with all sorts of badges on when I lived in Hong Kong. I grew out of it when I was 5.

excuse me, I make qwality leather goods.

You could make qwality leather patches, too.
And also qwality leather forum chaps for us all.
Edit: Wait! Qwality leather forum gimp masks! It'd be a bestseller

And I currently have 50 LFGSS jerseys in the shed.

Indeed. I own two and wear them on my commute. They are less offensive in winter when I wear a jacket.

I cannot believe that you could possibly have been smaller even at that age. Go on, dig it out of the wardrobe.

It's a museum piece in Hong Kong. Chris Patten threw it in as a deal sweetener.

There's a Girl Guides gag in here somewhere if anyone wants it.
Im trying to lift my game

Is that like a ball on a leather belt type gag?

There it is...

"Girl guides gag into _____?"

Such pathos.A glimpse into the past of a loose patched child.
A reflection on the present of the man that child became.
A window into the future of a badge that the forum can be proud of.

unfortunately, I only have my memories and photos of that piece.
Proustian patches.

Velocio - I'd like a patch, but I understand that you're the one making it and then being caught short.
What about those who want one pay up front? When the word is out that they'll be created, set a cut-off date for payment and then with the money taken get the patches made. Hopefully this will make collection easier since people always want what they've paid for. Apologies if you've thought of this and it's not workable, but I'm sure many on here want cool shwag but don't like seeing you caught out.

Socks would be better than patches

I had a sleeveless denim jacket with patches on when I was 11. Then I grew up.
