  • i want a drilled or pre-drilled fork, for integrated headsets, possibly glossy black/carbon, 30mm rake, minimum of 23.6cm steering tube left, straight blades and they should suit the dolan. price shouldn't be that much...

colnago flash forks are only 1", aren't there? and not quite often up for sale.

  • Ah yeah, i think the 1 1/8th version is called Street...

  • I honestly quite like how the leader fork suits the bike

  • dont get the leader. soooo ugly, and not so nice quality

leader is the worst shit around in my opinion.......

    Tifosi track forks!

And since the gangsta is en route, here's the seta in a sensible guise.

Practical pedals, a front brake and road levers.

  • Columbus tusk straight fork? seems to be inbetween leader and alpina

  • Tifosi track forks!

i already have a similar one, but would love to have less rake.
also the straight tusk fork has 45mm rake.

    have ordered the alpina now.

  • 8bar makes a straight drilled 35mm rake

  • that's the one i'm currently have installed, but wanted less rake and a more straight form. the 8bar has a non-straight crown and is the same as the tifosi.

  • fork will arrive today, wheelset arrived yesterday.

wheelset is great and was cheap, but the look (black open pro rims with silver braking surface) doesn't match the bike. i'm now thinking of a) reselling the set and looking for another one or b) changing the rims to mavic open pro cd or c) keeping the mavic ellipse.

i'm also unsure if i keep the bullhorn or change to a riser.

  • Do you use the brake, or just there for legalities? You could paint the rims? I just did a set of american classics with primer and matte black and the finish was good.

Also, is it the Leader fork you ordered?

So ugly... Clearance for winter tyres though.

i'm also using it, so spraypainting in the front would not help

    no, the alpina!

  • could you then just tape the rear and leave the front machined?

Although, I know you don't do things by half.

Good choice on the Alpina, the build deserves it. (:

  • i don't like the look of half/half (braking surface front, no surface at the rear).
will see how it looks with risers, alpina, maybe thomson setback seatpost and ellipse.

i'm currently moving to a new flat and will be in iceland for annual leave so this will take some time to finish it.

  • new wheelset will be sold again, will use the ellipse, looks better.
get a riser from a friend and tried the stem from the fes, fits well if it's mounted downwards (-10°).

bought a thomson x4 , 31.8, -10°, 130mm, cane creek crosstop lever, black odyssey cufflink and shimano deore xt pedals now.

    she's a slave for me.

  • preview.

  • Looks promising, are you going to do something with the silver steerer bits visible through the stem cutouts?

  • quick rattlecan action

  • due to sickness and moving into a new flat the seta is still unfinished. hope to ride it in 2 weeks.

  • Those forks are such an improvement!

    Heal up soon Eingang.

  • Titan version of the brake? They are a bit tricky to set up but lighter than Dura Ace if my memory doesn't play any tricks on me.

  • it's the normal planet x one, but i don't care about the weight anymore. however, really tricky to set up.

  • I let the air out of the tire 2-3 times to get the wheels out until I found out that you can release the small barrel from the brake itself -.-

Open-end wrench and allan keys (the really small ones) will be your friends.

  • This looks awesome with the risers and Alpina fork

  • looking awesome, you running ellipses?
