  • In 2007 Bikeradar watched MASH, bought Charge Plugs... 'fixies', and then started posting on LFGSS

  • Ed still has some way to go before he gets to 2013 bikes.

    Around two years, I'd guess.

  • I'm liking the steel CX.

  • those straight forks are pretty nice but that not so straight on the black one on right is damn anti

  • Will Audax riders continue to be internet hardmen who are all talk and no trousers, confined to riding at ridiculous hours when no other cyclists are out, seeking food from petrol stations and skulking in bus shelters and village halls?

Hang on, those weirdos in Audax are really hard - 1200k in 90 hours? Flippin nuts.

  • I've been riding old mtbs and tourers since way before they were cool.

I was riding an old mtb back int he 90's when it was new.

  • damn

  • Diamondback

Weird lynskey, Ui2 and cable discs?

  • not sure there are any road hydraulic disk brakes yet.

  • those straight forks are pretty nice but that not so straight on the black one on right is damn anti

I was thinking the exact opposite :(

  • @psykx apparently its only a proto, the production should have sram hydro discs.
I suppose hydraulic discs and digital shifters makes sense. Unless hydraulic shifting is coming. Shared reservoir in the hoods.

  • Total disaster if you spring a leak though?

  • only happens if you let scoble maintain your bike

  • I wasn't aware that I poorly maintain my bicycles.

  • you mastered the inner tube yet?

  • I guess this had to happen eventually!

    I think I'll hold out for a 36er fat bike though :-)

  • Ah, there we go! Photobucket's not playing with Firefox today.

Handy for London's famous potholes perhaps?

  • Looks like Kona have finally brought out a disc equipped cyclocrosser.

Just the Tiagra equipped Jake though & still with the awful graphics they've been using the last few years :-(

Oh Kona... why you get rid of old logo?

  • 140mm discs?

  • According to the Kona site they're 140mm Tektro Lyra. Is that the size you have on the Boardman?

  • Nah, 160mm

  • Having seen ( although not ridden ) a cyclocross course, I can't see many riders wanting bigger discs. Although weighing in at a hair under 100kg I think I'd opt for something a bit larger than 140's.

  • Gets used on the road as well though- bigger discs will clear the heat faster also.

  • 140mm is the reserve of elite XC riders who want the weeniest of weights.
a 160 on the front at least is needed.
