What sort of price where you thinking? In the picture on the far right, the paint looks like it might be a crack in the top tube, is this just the paint effect?

I'm looking for a half decent beater bike as the forks on my mtb got nicked. I'm in bristol. I've got around £250 to spend, I could be persuaded to spend more depending on what is available.

depends what it looks like and where it is, I've recently taken to riding my 1.5k mtb with street tires on while my fixed gear gets a new frame. it looks like crap though muddy and no flash at all, I leave it locked up all day in the nicer parts of bristol (sorry not london) but worry about it if it out of my sight at all in other parts. I use two D locks.

Yes it will be monsoon season, which means your views of the amazing mountains will be limited. You'll be at the bottom of the driving food chain on a bike as well, I'd expect to be run off the road fairly often. Although nepal is utterly beautiful and the people, in my experience at least, are friendly and wonderful.
Have you checked that the border you want to use takes foreigners?

reading through this thread I can see that the precursa can take wider tires, is the track champion the same? ideally I'd like to run a 28 on the rear and a 25 on the front.

I saw this in the flesh today at bespoked bristol, I can't get it out of my head. it's look's even better in real life, something about the bars and that camera angle doesn't work.
Are you willing to drop the price much ?
