Hope you heal soon, The moped driver should have given you their details and not left the scene, completly understand they tried to avoid hitting a car but they are still responsible for who they've injured and damaged, glad to hear your not too badly injured,

Shit. Are you aware of his recent posts about attempted muggings near his house? I hope there's no connection. And, get well soon, Spotter.

Fucking terrible news. He need anything in hospital? I sent him a message but don’t know if he’s still got his phone on him.

He's ok and has responded to texts. He has a few injuries and concussion.

Probably the most tantalising comment I've read since joining!
Hope your friend is ok though, maybe not remembering the last week might be a good thing based on his recent posts.

Good idea, he's based elsewhere now but worth asking.

Shit, can’t remember a thing eh?
Pass on my best wishes and remind him of that money I lent him the other day. Add a bit on for yourself while you’re at it.
Seriously, hope he heals up well.

I've had 3 offs in 3 weeks. 2 slippery road and one just inexplicable failure to maintain front wheel whilst looking over my shoulder to check on my son.
Not previously known to have a penchant for eating tarmac.
Considering taking up golf.

One observation:
Fell off out in Essex lanes: Car goes past and occupants shout abuse out of the window at me and another rider who are lying in the road.
Fell off in Leytonstone: ped comes running up to see if I'm okay and offers to call for help.
God bless you, random Leytonstone ped.

Don't take up golf - you'll get fat - stick with it, that there St. Christopher is quite a nice chap.
My first proper Bicycle crash. I was taken out on seven sisters road on Monday night, at Holloway end near the eaglet pub. Destroyed my right brake/shifter, but otherwise the bike seems fine, I will get this looked at by a professional though. My hand not so much, got stitches after 5 hours odd in A and E waiting room and I am still very sore.
I was riding primary, a moped was overtaking leaving decent space but was cut up by a car moving into the left lane. In swerving to avoid the car, the mopeds delivery box and rear end hit my handlebars and front wheel. I was already on full breaking and trying to move left but had no time or space and popped over my bars. Moped started to drive off, but an uber beeped him. He stopped came over told me it was the cars fault, jumped on his moped and rode off.
Police took a statement, have looked at CCTV etc. no word on anything yet. I feel that I got very lucky to have not done myself any serious damage beyond a big cut to the back of my hand.
Be careful out there.
