I notice that the weather is looking rosy for the evening, with the wind predicted to be in our backs.... that's good, right?

• #1003

I am out. I rode 120 miles to Cambridge and back on Sunday and whilst I enjoyed it very much, the thought of doing twice that with no sleep seems pretty stupid really. I'm not sure how it will benefit me as a cyclist. I'm off to ride around France on the 4th, too, so could do without fucking myself beforehand!
Godspeed TFCALIRTABLers!

Just changed from 48 x 16 to 48 x 17 so my knees aren't working as hard. Only had a quick spin up and down the road but feels good so far. Will see how it is on the commute tomorrow (20 miles or so each way) - If it is too spinny for that, it'll definitely be too spinny for Dunwich!
if it helps at all i rode 16-48 last year and will be doing the same this year. it was fine, there arent any hills and any short ones u can just blast up anyway. felt fine for me to be honest

Al, can I count on you for a garmin with the-way-to-get-back route loaded up on it? Even if you decide to coach it back we could work something out where I 'borrow' it or something?
the garmin needs a holder.. the holder needs a bar, the bar needs a.. fuck it.. i reckon i'll be wrecked by the time i get to dunwich, what with the LFA tour in the morning and you talking about no staying for long like you're on a mission.. and and and also
my spare garmin holder will be on the *cough-cough bike from thursday, can't you just follow the tyre tracks back or summink..???

Out for this :( Still recovering from an infection that took over a week to shake. Meh.

I've got the coach ticket. Just ordered a (wildly expensive) long lasting battery for my BikeRay light but still undecided about this ride.A tad nervous about doing it on the SS, which is ridiculous given that I can always walk up anything I can't ride up.
More thought needed.

Dear Cafewanda,
I was in exactly the same position last year, should I shouldn't I ?
Er well I did and it was one of the most beautiful rides I have ever Dun.
In the words of Mr Chainbreaker - don't think , just do.
Just set off steady eddie style and you'll be fine!
I hope to see you on the ride and hope all is well...
Peace and Love,
Tim -

I'll be loading the route back onto my
Garmin. Find the massive guy in London fields and I'll put it on your Garmin too. Or tell you to follow the smell of Smithfield market.
