I've got a 52 and 34 spare. Both rather awkward with a 18t cog, if it doesn't come by Monday I'm going to try and get a refund for a lost parcel and look at what other ones I can get.

what's wrong with 52x18?

I live somewhere hilly, at times 48x18 can be a bit much

perfect shape just missing 5 teeth, i've got my eye on a Dura-Ace 7400 ring if it hasn't come by today.

You sure the 47t will clear the spider? Had a 48 on it and that was pushing it..
-
• #269
The chain ring i bought (and still hasn't come) was a mavic one of the same design as the original ones so i can't see why it couldn't

Chain ring has finally come after spending 12 days in the post, god knows what they were fucking doing with it. Next minor issue is getting some spacers made to account for the missing inner ring. I will do it tomorrow in work, won't take long, then its build time!

about time
-
• #272
spota pls
why do you take so long to build stuff??? -
• #273
Why do you need the spacers? I didn't need any.. With bolts for normal single chainring.. Although I kind of remember it was a 1/8" chainring.. Any way, looking forward to it..

why do you take so long to build stuff???The best things take time

because the current spacer was designed to have two 3/32 rings on it and the one I got today is also 3/32. As you said a single 1 1/8th ring might have been thick enough to get away without it.

And just use the allen part of single chainring bolts? Of course spacers would work, but would be less pretty.. And heavier of course..;)
well thats creepy
