Genuine LOLZ
So many stories, so few suitable for public discussion.
Tru fax! I went all out to be as sensible as possible yesterday, and still got broken.
Anyone for the Dover castle on Tuesday night? ;)

The Amersham Arms is the new Dover Castle.
And no sadly, I have a thing called a job to go to next week. My blissful holiday is now at an end :(

it was a black car, on black tarmac, in the shade and i was riding into the sunset"
Exactly that. Don't be a twat james - your kebab leg occured under pretty dubious circumstances didn't it? Or was it entirely everyone elses fault but your own?
EVERYONE makes errors in judgement, yesterday being my turn after 3,000 miles without incident. You need to learn when to stop taking the piss really. This is most likely going to affect me for weeks

this is one of the benefits of riding nobrakes™, you're forced to pay attention to what's happening around you and be more aware of when to slow down.

• #383
anyone can take their eyes off the road for a few seconds, and everything can change in that time.
-
• #384
In my case, just can't read signs saying one way traffic =
-
• #385

So easily done. By cyclists, drivers and pedestrians.

I still crashed in pretty much exactly the same way (except slower and into a less unforgiving object), but I guess it was my nobrakes super senses that allowed me to catch the bike as it sailed over my head and roll up onto my feet.

Second forum outing in that last few months and enjoyed myself.
Didn't plan on heading to the lamb, but glad I did to complete GSIAD first time out...
Riding back through Picadilly circus and Marble arch at 1 a.m. in the morning after starting 13 hours earlier was an interesting experience to say the least.
Nice to meet you guys.

the post crash excuses were proper LOLZ
WTF?!
-
• #400
was the crash at the junction of camden and caledonian roads?
the post crash excuses were proper LOLZ, firstly "he just slammed on his brakes really quickly" when the car had been stopped for 5 seconds at a red light
later it was "not my fault, it was a black car, on black tarmac, in the shade and i was riding into the sunset"
