^ ouch andrew!
I too had a collision but not on such an epic scale - I used my face for a bit of 'beer braking' against the builders mesh fencing on the old train track coming down from highgate.
great fun 1/2 day for me.
left house at 1.30 for SE drinks, 20 miles later I gave up looking for the fuckin' place at New Cross and rode back up to Norths' where I expected to see all of you lot having shortly arrived from SE. So I had a beer with some nice north'folk who hadn't cycled anywhere, and then a mere hour and a quarter later the GSIAD contingent sauntered up to the Flask. Enjoyed a nice ride to the Jolly Butcher, to be greeted by "too many to choose from" beers. Settled on a nice pale ale!Nice to meet people I haven't seen in a while and put a couple or three face to names.
Sorry i had to bale after East' - a previous date with eurovision wankers party
Hope everyone got home safely (andrew excepted), my ride was a bit wobbly even with maximum concentration

Sadly Andrew was not the only slam of the day, Theo had a moment of rider error, clipped the wheel in front and left a little knee and elbow skin behind in the resulting tumble. From accounts received he fell and rolled with great grace.
The cat at the Raven was also an epic f̶o̶o̶l̶/̶f̶a̶l̶l̶faill, got stuck in a tree and then fell out it into the beer garden.

I gave a little too much room to a couple of kids on scooters and bikes, and ended up with a graceful and not at all embarrassing clipless lean into the side of the bridge, using my shoulder as a brake. Managed to take out Dom as well. Hilarity ensued.

By the way, I clipped the bollard in a narrow alleyway somewhere outside Viccy Park on my way home.

^^Cheers for your help on the way to the Raven man - appreciated

The owner was decidedly shifty about the whole thing... completely against getting the police involved or reporting it. My guess, no insurance / not his car / something was up... I've got to get in touch with my insurers for my bike anyway so will look in to whether I'm covered either way.
Something didn't sit right with me at the time though - he couldn't decide what he was supposed to do like getting insurers/police was not an option he was comfortable with.

fair enough! can't do more than that

Never thought I'd ever bend part of a car with my leg without said leg breaking.... thank fuck for my metal work!

The car's insured, though. Probably a body in the boot.

IIRC your handlebars collided with the car, so I believe it was them that made the dent

And Rowhan you seemed the most sensible cyclist/drinker of all of us!
Brakes, gears, lycra, sun cream, pints of water for hydration.

my back is hella sunburnt as well... a good day, for sure. Well impressed with the ale selection at all the pubs! Was great to make it back to the Flask.
Kat - sorry to bail after easts (2 years running) but this year prior plans meant I still have never been to a wests pub. hopefully one day I'll make it out there.

Yeah! I must have had 2x as many soft drinks/water as pints, and a big lunch at the albert.
Just one of those things - slightly misjudge something, get distracted for a split second, and BOOM- Wipeout!
Ouch. HTFU Andrew!
Another great day with plenty of sunshine. I enjoyed the off road and the park bit the most. Bearfoot and Sven I owe you a pint.
