Gormley, you prove again in my mind you should be involved in the UKHBPA ;)
Jono, yep, if you can take the goals that would be great, will you be able to get one set back up to Mitch for Monday?
-
• #403
Yep, they can stay at mine in the short term.
-
• #404
If I send someone some posters, can they stick them up around Newington on Wednesday (or another day), so that we can "reserve" the court.
-
• #405
Can someone lamenate them at workee? I can put them up on wednesday at souths if i can pick up off someone at norths?
-
• #406
Good idea, I don't have a laminator, I'm afraid.
-
• #407
ok email them to me i shall find someone who has one.
-
• #408
No laminator either.
Regarding wood Adam (from your post in the LPC thread): Buying some from Leylands just up the road would be pretty simple? Taking wood from the Orwell would involve moving all the garb from on top of it (not easy) and asking for access to the trap door (potentially a hassle for Mark). I can bring a saw and drill and some screws if needed?
Whip round would work, or tiny registration fee (£1 minimum)?

they are the very same ones ryan made, i used them for the hells belles film and the lhbpa hasn't needed them until now, so i just left them in my garage. so to be clear they are the unpainted steel ones jono. (if you are choosing between the white and the unpainted ones.

does louis still have loads (of wood) in his garage?
-
• #411
Cool, so I only need to bring one pair of goals from the Orwell, right?
We may need new netting?
-
• #412
Ok, leave the other set in the Orwell for Monday then. Can you double check thought there is everything for 2 full sets of goals in the Orwell, John. We might need new bolts etc.
We will need a small entry fee anyway, just to cover the cost of new balls.
-
• #413
Happy to pay an entry fee.
Polo is too cheap for the efforts involved anyway. -

yes mate, just one set from north one set from south. I'll check the nets later on the ones i have but i think they were pretty ropey.

• #416
Well if louis has wood i can pick it up in a streetcar unless anyone has wheels? Joni wanna get her bongo out? If louis has no wood then i can try source/steel some.
I'll PM louis

If someone is in at the Orwell, can they also collect the bibs, the flags, the ice-box & the clipboards.

Just putting this out there, Mavericks around on Saturday for games if anybody wants to play their round robins the day before? (haven't asked the boys yet, but I'm sure they'd be happy enough seeing as we'll be playing anyway).
-
• #419
I'll bring zip-ties, but more zip-ties are always useful, as is gaffer tape, and marker pens.
We need to laminate 3 copies of the rules.
-
• #420
We have lots of cat-proof netting at home, which may well be suitable for goal-netting.
-
• #421
I've still got wood for the LHBPA!
I won't be able to come north to newt this weekend, but can be available for someone to pick up.
My numbers in the league numbers thread if whoever wants to get them needs.
Postcode is kt48td. Cool?

Oh and as my post from yesterday seems to have been deleted along with what it was replying to. I want to say that I can completely see what John was saying, and find it a little disappointing that two people with so much experience of organising tournies and having to deal with the bitching from others should be the one's doing it themselves.

ok louis...will it fit into VW polo? Whats the length?

sticking out the back, they should do, the boards are 8 ft x 1 foot i think.
i as a player proprose a round robin one day if possble. Would the teams entered be happy with this? If there is overspill we have to play the some games monday but finish the games for people who need to go? This needs to happen and it's happening this wkend so lets get it done.
Can we get some feedback from the teams?
