Anyway, if sourcing a free vehicle to pick up the wood is an issue, I can probably get this done on Saturday morning for a small fee (£20).

The regrettable thing is that John was left feeling unsupported, and felt as if his hard work on the format had been completely ignored, and his time had been wasted. I am genuinely very sorry if that is how he feels, and if the way that I expressed myself contributed to that.
Ditto. But I'd add that people should be able to understand the decisions of the UKHBPA, or why formats are preferable and shouldn't feel that it's none of their business.

Le BigMac can't play on Sat but we could play London teams on another day (Mon or Tues) if that would help.

Feel free to go into the LPC thread and highlight any steamrolling Louis.

This could be good. i wonder if louis is free on sat? he hasn't replied to my PM yet but that would be small price for board happy.

It could probably happen any day this week, tbh. Store it at Ryan's?

I think ryan will be ok wth that. Depends on louis being in for pick up i guess.

It'll be a lot easier to do this on Saturday morning, but if that's no good, then just let me know when Louis is in, and where & when the stuff can be dropped off. Worst ways, it could come back to my office, and I could plausibly use a cargo to bring it over early Sunday.
Who's bringing drills?

Who's bringing drills?
Jono said he could bring one.

I have a corded drill but I don't think that will be any help?

Sorry for not getting back, girlfriends sister is in town on the weekend so need to find out what the plan is before I say I'll be in, if you see what I mean.

I have a cordless drill. Though lacking screwdriver bits.... We also have a laminator at work though I'd need to check tomorrow what size sheets we have. Is it A4, and how many?

The rules to me. Can be double sided if possible.

Unless the rules have been modified since the LII, and I'm pretty sure they haven't, there are several full laminated sets under the Orwell.
I think there is a laminator down there too? Slain's one..
I'm not sure if it's still there or not but we could check this evening. Also, I have LHBPA A4 laminate at home. -

If it helps, I'm willing to play London teams when Snoops gets back from his holiday! ;)
I can be at the courts extra early to help out on the Sunday and would be willing to get our games underway if it'll make it easier.

Hey Adam
I have 20 copies of John's warning sign printed, laminated and hole-punched. Did you want to send me the rules you'd like printed or can I just take the ones that Bill gave a link for?
Also, aren't you sometimes riding along Wandsworth Road? I work just off of it so maybe easier for you to call by? Otherwise I can drop them off at your house tomorrow (Wednesday) after work.....

The rules are not now needed, as we apparently have 4 copies already at the Orwell.
LPC, but yes, I also see what John was saying. It can be frustrating when people say unhelpful things.
On the other hand, just because I know it's tiresome to be criticised, does it mean that I should hold my tongue when I have what I think is a legitimate concern? I wasn't abusive, and neither was Jono. We just didn't agree, and wanted to work it out.
The regrettable thing is that John was left feeling unsupported, and felt as if his hard work on the format had been completely ignored, and his time had been wasted. I am genuinely very sorry if that is how he feels, and if the way that I expressed myself contributed to that.
