  • These groups of 10 are not very GroupSave-friendly, bearing in mind it's multiples of 4 for ½ price, or 3 for a third off.

  • ^ I was just thinking that. So, in advance, I dibs/bagsy/shotgun/whatever it is that the cool kidz are saying these days a groupsave4 spot please. [/scrimpeur]

  • Also, sorry Ben, just saw your message about a two-man wolfpack ride. If I didn't get on I'd have been up for that. Days are getting longer so plenty of scope for last min splinter rides. Hells yeah.

  • Whilst I'm here I would like to add that I rode the Grimpeur 100 audax thingy yesterday and I feel like shit today. I'm not planning on wetting the bed but my legs are pretty sore right now so allow it, yeah? Safe.

    Also. Tika. HealTFU, lady.

  • ^ this is a good point. I'll commence some rejigging.

  • Surrey 5 hills Guinness warm-up 13/3/12
32 miles of ups and downs, Effingham Junction start/finish.
    £5.30 with GS4. Waterloo 19.02 and 19.09

Usual meet spot at the Peaslake turn-off on the top of Pitch Hill. Bmmf will lead the 2nd group - they'll probably catch the the gp 1 stragglers (me) before the meet. Sam & Donna - your call on what group to join.

Amended as to let the chasing group be smaller (and hopefully less prone to problems). If we get any sh*t at Waterloo then we'll switch up 8 on earlier train and 12 on the later train in the hope that the crowds die down slightly.

If anyone wants to switch with me to the first group due to tired legs/eagerness feel free.

  • I'll be coming up from Dorking - plan is to catch either group at the top of White Down Lane.
Road wise nothing has changed dramatically since the last 5 Hills in October. The drop down into Peaslake is starting to resemble the surface of the moon but other than that it's a case of riding on your average British roads :)

  • i am joining the train at clapham junction (so not in any GS). i did say that up thread but someone used an older list when updating.

  • So how about:

  • Do any proper, fixed riders care to share their gear inches?

It's good to be aware of any outliers, as far as pacing the group goes. I'm either going to struggle along on 74", or possibly revert to 69".

If you are on less than 65" or more than 75", please don't keep any secrets from us.

  • I am going to be on my usual 48/19 which is 67".

  • where have the tags gone?

  • Oh do keep up smiff :)

I owe you a tenner - make sure you get it from me.

    Also on 48x19 / 67".

  • I am 48x20 which I believe is 63 gi.

  • 49x19, ~68GI

so where HAVE the tags gone?? what did i miss?

2 of mine on this thread were "fixed or fuck off" and "go fast or go home"

  • where have the tags gone?

    They were dropped.

  • "fixed or fuck off"

    love this

Velocio has turned them off again - for good this time

  • They were dropped.

^ when did Jens Voigt show up?

  • BMMF wants to know our inches...
    ...mines a respectable 67.

i'm happy to backstop the 1st group.

  • So how about: nice - all sorted, sure we can mix and match the GS

  • I'm on 50/19, which with 25s makes 67.5gi

  • Somewhere between 39.4 and 105.1.
