I dreamt a whole load of polo peeps went to see Gordon Melon, similar set-up to the last show...
We got there and the support band were soundchecking, cue lots of booing and skoota messing around with the mixing desk fucking up their sound... They eventually came on but the guitars were really quiet, everything was quiet... I popped out of the pub for a minute but by the time I'd got back they'd finished their set, everyone had stepped outside and intentionally missed the show... The band looked pretty gutted, they were French as well and their manager was consoling them...
Everyone comes back inside, someone's stolen my Guinness... Pretty sure it was Aram, Tree Josh buys me another one... Gordon Melon come on and their stage set is an open fronted bedroom like a TV stage set... The boys are all in a bed telling jokes in French and giggling like crazy... It's a bit weird tbh, then they play their normal set...
After that I wind up at a flea market in Brixton, I spot a 14 polo bike so I follow the guy who's rolling it around as I don't recognise him from polo... Turns out he hasn't bought it but is just trying it out, there's a stall selling old 14, Condor and Rollapaluza bikes...
The girl from the stall takes me to see this other 14 bike that's boxed up in the kitchen area, then all my mates magically show up and I play a game of smack the polo mallet on my head with my mate's baby nephew...
Pastis, hummus, manflu and pain-killers, man...

What do the following heroes have in common?
Jeanne d'Arc ; Alexander the Great; Charlemagne; Julius Caesar; Napoléon Bonaparte; Fidel Castro.
Yes, you guessed it, they're all lefties. In other words, nearly all of the great revolutionary heroes & leaders of human history have been left-handed.
QED.

It is a bit of an arbitrary list isn't it? Seems like maybe you have selected on the criteria of 'cack handedness', rather than the criteria 'great revolutionary heroes & leaders'.

No, do you think so?

So explain why you haven't merged the 'I love polo' thread with the 'I love London polo' thread, then, please, and yet you've merged at least 5 threads to this thread? Honestly, I don't see why the threads should get merged. Please explain the rationale, as I actually pay real money to use this forum, and I don't see the harm.

Surely this should now be merged with the football thread, then? Cocks.
-
• #422
Oh no, you can't do that, because your (collective) writ only applies in this little fiefdom.
I'm serious, please explain on what basis you have merged numerous threads to this one, and left the 2 very similar "I love polo" threads alone. I genuinely don't understand.

I haven't read the thread, but mine bends to the left. That's good, right?
