Look, this thread has 5,000 views, nearly 4 times what the S London polo shirt thread has got. So it can't be that unpleasant, can it? Or are the viewers just confused?

I'm with Bill on this. Polo mods need to relax a bit. This is an open forum, there will be good threads, bad threads, crap threads and repetitive threads. That's the way forums work.

And Bill, apart from being one of the most respected people in polo, is obviously a creative soul at heart. A bit of leeway needs to be given for him to express himself.

I don't really think you are power hungry or a bitch, James. That was just shit talk. But I do think moderation should be as minimal as possible, left to moderating hateful posts and the like. A million stupid threads could be posted and either people like them and they remain active or they fade into oblivion on their own.

Having loads of crap content*/threads also dilutes the quality of forum24 though, making it much harder to find useful information (and to potentially find the decent new threads from amongst the clutter).

I'm not against soft moderation, but moderation is needed in some form (especially if a million stupid threads are ever posted).
