Last few bits on their way:
hopefully should be here by next week which will mean it'll all be built for the bank holiday weekend.

BB was fucked, so I had to get a new one, managed to get the bike roughly together before the shop closed. Hopefully will be finished by tomorrow.

Excellent. Shaping up very nicely.

Looking slick.
Are they MKS GR-9s on the bike? They look more like the Sylvan track pedals there. How come you decided to go for them instead of some Campag Gran Sports or something clipless?
-
• #81
Yeah, they are GR-9's, i'm using them because they're really comfortable with soft sole shoes. I find gran sport / track style pedals really dig into my feet. I want a bike that I can use without special shoes, however I have some spd-sl's I can put on if i need to ride any distance/seriously.

I use GR-9s too for that same reason. Cool story, I know. Good that it's being built as a regular use bike.

looking nice, 14-26 on the back?
-
• #84
cheers, 13-29 actually

This'd look very nice with one of the 3ttt pro chrome stems. Available in Condor for £10 last I checked.
-
• #86
yeah I agree with you there, I'm not in London atm so I'd be a bit of a faff to get one though and I want to get this finished so I can rebuild my tourer (probably should create a thread for it actually) so the stem I have for the moment will do, it also cost me nothing which is a bonus.

Just out for a ride on jose now, needs a few little tweaks but otherwise it's great to ride. Really comfortable and response. I'll try and get some photos up tomorrow

cheers, henners i'll bring it up with me next time i think
-

loverly indeed
i see this is your max seattube length in classic geo though, given slam-that-stem(tm) approach?.. -
• #99
This is the largest of my bikes at 62cm, normally I'd go for something in the tad more compact 60/61range and have more seatpost/stem showing, in fact i've never slamed-that-stem™ before but on this is feels very comfortable

Very nice. Bars look great. Quite tempted by them myself.
Probably, its not in its final position yet. I just put it on as rough guess, as I haven't had the cranks on yet.
Glad my polishing efforts are appreciated.
