Strava.com is undergoing scheduled site maintenance.

We're making some updates and will be up and running soon. These types of updates typically take 15-45 minutes. Thanks for your patience!

^^ Post the url into facebook. Facebook then drags more info over to make it a fancy link with a preview

  • Worked for me on Sunday. They broke it before then.

  • 53% of the way through Rapha Rising. Serves me right for starting two days late. Today I hope to climb over 6,000 feet.

I know the feeling. Due to work, I can only ride every second day so with three rides down (and 61% completed) I've got to fit 2,764 metres of ascent into my ride tomorrow.

    That's over 9,000 ft apparently...

  • How do you correct elevation on strava? The weather came in, and we all know how poor garmin elevation is in bad weather.

  • Currently hating Strava.

I did a big ride yesterday to finish Rapha Rising including Corny Fell in each direction, Hardknott and Wrynose passes in both directions and a ride up to Wasdale head to make sure I had enough ascent. (Nearly 90 miles and well over 10,000 ft of ascent.)

Strava decided it's not going to Sync/Upload and all the help suggests (after checking phone settings) is to log out and back in again. I've done that and..... The ride is no longer there.

    Fuck Strava.

  • Give it a couple of days and try again, it might re-appear. I've had that happen before.

  • because youre using strava app on a phone,. record through a garmin then upload

  • ^^^android or iPhone? If you're on android it might be possible to dig around with a file manager and find the gpx

  • It's Android so I'll give that a try. Thanks!

(I've emailed Strava but they're going to take a few days to get back to me.)

  • I think LTD has been p1ssing off a lot of KOM holders all across France during the last 3 weeks! Although to get the email and then find out you were beaten by a pro in the peleton is a bit of a small consolation prize.

I'm going to have to claim back my own uphill 1.2 mile off road KOM this week. Thing is, I don't have the same bike any more. I may have to use my Croix de Fer...

On the subject of banned bikes, MTBers have to contend with a vast range of different tyres and bike types and weights. Some sections can be ridden on CX bikes, some only on full DH rigs. It's a more level playing field on the road, I feel!

  • I'd have thought that the main limiting factor for MTBers, at least the male contingent is testicular volume.

  • Similarly I could use my full tt setup to take a segment from someone who rode it on a touring bike.

How many people on a touring bike would be bothered about setting a KOM on Strava?

  • You'd be surprized

  • Wapha Wising complete. 252.7 miles covered, 24,985ft climbed, 19hrs 26min in the saddle over the last six days.
Much more riding than I'm used to, I'm pooped.

  • Can anyone confirm if their share to Facebook is working?
Apparently you can do the same FB import to graph thing with MapMyRide; if its just me then I'll move to it...

strava no let me share to facebook...
how am i going to impress all zee hot ladeez i add who i never met now?

  • Any way to dispute a 'hazardous' flagging?

    Sod it. New segment created.

  • Strava cyclist in SF who killed a pedestrian spared jail

  • Three years of probation and 1,000 hours of community service seems an easy ride so to speak. Obviously we don't know the exact circumstances of the case, but the fact remains that the rider ran over and consequently killed a guy.
