  • I like the route you took back from Margate!

Thanks. Had to find the quickest way home.

  • It's one massive skid, right?

  • Absolutely.

  • Dammit do you hate everywhere north of London?

I have so been North of the Thames:

    It was horrible.

    +1

  • New Year's Resolution should make see a bit more of the UK painted red in 2013.

  • I'm addicted to this wonderful app after only a week with it. Being overtaken for the first time ever up Dark Hill in RP i decided to go out reasonably hard and managed a 80/4670, felt good man!

  • It'd be nice to have a "vanity page" that showed that map, and updated it as you go through the year- motivation to paint more of the map.

I'd have thought they'd have bunged that guy a few grand to buy that tool by now, given its popularity. Would be a fun feature to integrate into your profile page. I think they need to start adding new analytical features every few months to keep people interested; there seems to be a big overlap between bike nerds and stats nerds (guilty on both counts...).

  • What's a 80/4670?

  • Something to do with blood pressure?

  • I went out today, had a great time, got home and my watch started uploading the ride data.

Logged into Strava to have a look at the Box Hill power profile- to find only "estimated power".

Moral of this story- if going for a ride, switch your watch/other Garmin device from "run" to "ride", as otherwise it won't look for various measuring gubbins.

  • Head out to Box Hill now and do it again, only reasonable solution.

  • Being the nerd that I am, I had a second data recording device- no single point of failure!

But I'll check that I've set the correct sport next time.

  • i did not realise weighing things counted as a sport

  • Depends how heavy they are

  • Klunking heartbeat - as captured on Strava from yesterdays Klunking championship

  • Learn to spin!

  • What's a 80/4670?

    80th out of 4670

  • Seems Strava have removed support for older browsers? Maps are no longer showing up and segment links are not working on both Camino and Safari on OS X Tiger. Maybe this is a sign I should finally upgrade.

First and foremost it's a sign that Apple, and Strava and others for that matter, are complete cunts. But yes, time to upgrade.

  • Must try harder.

  • For those looking back to what they did last year, there is a new facility on that site which I think is quite useful for those without other tracking methods.
