  • ^Misunderstood what you meant there. Re-read, got it, carry on. Nothing to see here.

  • But if you were clean and the rider who beat you failed a drug test and was disqualified you wouldn't consider it 'by default' would you? You'd say justice had been done and you'd be angry that some cheat had deprived you of the top spot in Paris etc.
That Andy Schleck does not feel that way isn't very surprising.

How do you know what ANdy thinks? Has he released a statement?

  • He has said in the past that he would not regard himself as the winner of the race and that he did not want the victory that way.

  • ^I hope you've not been cheating on Jens Voigt, Will.

  • But he's raced for 18 months of his 2 year ban, and earnt his salary in that time (although the UCI have made a request to CAS to fine him nearly €3 million). Hardly a real two year ban, is it?

Better than letting him off scott free, like what was going to happen.

  • cool.

I dont think it is fair to say that means he dopes though. I would say it is a reasonable position to hold even if he was clean

  • Well, with Andy Schleck it's a little awkward isn't it, what with his brother having paid a lot of money to a gynaecologist for 'training plans'. You can see why he might like to avoid seeming too judgemental about dopers.

  • watching the TTT on Eurosport (Garmin, Omega, Sky if you want to know) and Merckx interviewed defends Contador and is upset that such a minute amount of clenbuterol led to a ban..

  • Merckx, a doper himself, interviewed defends Contador and is upset that such a minute amount of clenbuterol led to a ban..

    ftfy

  • Well, he's another one who can hardly be honest on the subject. Even if he is just talking about his son rather than himself.

  • He was also the man who introduced Lance Armstrong to Dr Michele Ferrari.

  • The "Cannibal" nickname came about when he was gurning so hard from the speed he chewed off his own lips.. maybe.

  • We've all been there. Admit it.

  • He was also the man who introduced Lance Armstrong to Dr Michele Ferrari.

Without whose advice Armstrong would never have been capable of exceeding the boundaries of human performance simply by increasing cadence a bit. Lucky that introduction was made.

  • Quite frankly, he started going like a Ferrari after that introduction had been made.

  • Quite frankly, he started going like a Ferrari after that introduction had been made.

    Oof

  • watching the TTT on Eurosport (Garmin, Omega, Sky if you want to know) and Merckx interviewed defends Contador and is upset that such a minute amount of clenbuterol led to a ban..

It is actually quite funny that he thinks the amount detected is relevant.

Sure, clenbuterol probably found its way into Bertie's blood stream from a banned transfusion of blood stored from a training period when he was using the banned substance Clenbuterol, but it was a small amount so can't we just let it go?

    Impeccable argument.

  • How do you know what ANdy thinks? Has he released a statement?

    He has now:

“I trust that the CAS judges took all things into consideration after reading a 4,000 page file. If now I am declared overall winner of the 2010 Tour de France it will not make me happy. I battled with Contador in that race and I lost. My goal is to win the Tour de France in a sportive way, being the best of all competitors, not in court. If I succeed this year, I will consider it as my first Tour victory.”

    Fucking little weasel.

  • Who wants to win it "in a *sportive *way" anyway? It's not fucking bikeradar.

  • If I succeed this year, I will consider it as my first Tour victory[/I]

^ this makes for better racing this year no?

  • Who wants to win it "in a *sportive *way" anyway? It's not fucking bikeradar.

    Tour winners like sportives. Fact.

  • ^ this makes for better racing this year no?

So long as he finishes behind bumface, yeah.

  • haha I'm looking forward to seeing Cobo clean up this year <<< trolling.

  • andy schleck won't win the tour this year..
