Had to cycle out there from work- which meant I turned up almost blown.
I'd have been fully blown if I'd gone out on the fixed!

^Much nicer average speed out to Bexley, I'd be happy with that.
I just need to work out how I can leave the office an hour earlier.

poo on your boss's desk should do the trick

Just had to move my response to that to a darker corner of the Internet.

Damned! Just spent like 2 hours reading this from the beginning! This is one hell of a bike. Seriously nice build. (Sure beats my Btwin 2300 equipped "Superbike".......)
Just out of curiosity. How many bikes do you have and what are they? -

...where do you live and which plant pot is the key under?

I usually work from home, as training fighting dogs is quite a round the clock occupation.

Haha yea on re reading that sounds a bit like that.... Sorry about that!

6.54kg after the last fiddle about.

After picking it up on Wednesday night, I am astonished by how light it is. You can climb like a scalded cat on that bike.

Very nice. Developed in a wind tunnel, or on a tea break?

Hah, not sure on that- I've been doing some reading about aerodynamics, and the principles that underpin their "ABLC Technology" seem sound.
What'll be interesting to see is if this helps me go faster on the Bexley 10- these wheels will be heavier, but theoretically more aerodynamic.
4 miles uphill followed by 6 miles downhill will be a good test.

What is this?

Q10/26- Bexley 10m TT just outside Brands Hatch, 4 mile climb, then a 6 mile descent.
Last time out I averaged 18.3 mph uphill and 27.8 mph downhill.

Sorry. The picture. It is either rubber mat flooring in your bathroom or something new...

Ah, that's something new.

Didn't know Sellotape did carbon effect sticky dots ;)

Is the rough bit the tyre or the brake track?

Braking surface.

Did a 10 mile test tonight at Herne Hill with the Mavics on:
Averaged 37.45 km/h (23.27mph for us English people) at 275 watts and took 25.47.
Compare that to a couple of weeks ago with the 50mm wheels, where power was 278 watts, 23.6mph and 25.40ish.
I would have expected the 50mm aero wheels to have made more of an impact.
We'll see what the new wheels do next week, if they finally arrive by then.

like I wrote on the other thread..just because they are deep doesn't make them aero.
the zipps should do much better. (theory)
Ok, final thing that it might be- freehub body has come loose?
It was fine from London to Brighton, then on the Brighton-Gatwick leg it started cracking and banging.
What could have changed, other than at the end of the London-Brighton leg I gave it some welly up Ditchling, and then the obligatory MAMIL sprint to the line down the seafront.
