Out of sight out of mind.

You're eventually getting rid of that fucking brick then?
-
• #554
It is the worst stem ever.
They [Cannondales] look good with the ARX on but not if you have a large spacer stack.
-
• #555
I have a single spacer, I will see how it looks.
I thought (when I went to buy it) that the Arx-Ltd stem was an Arx-Pro, it was going to go on my Langster.
It was a surprise to find it was the Ltd- would match my bars and seatpost if I put it on the System Six.

The Pro cost £160 less. How did you mange to make that mistake?
-
• #557
I get confused easily

Q: Did you fit your own Competition tubs and if so did you find the fit to be really tight?

I paid £40 for that stem.

I found them easier to get on than the corsa evo's, dry, Digger glued them after they'd stretched a while.

You let Digger near glue?

I paid £40 for that stem.
Is it a real one? There are lots of fakes around.
-
• #564
It's real. At my parents at the moment, I'll put it on the bike tomorrow to see how it looks.
Unlike you lot I like the original stem!

Not convinced:
As it was:

old looks better, but the important bit is which is lighter?
-
• #567
New one is lighter by 50g, but that's irrelevant really as it's 100g below legal already with the original stem.
Old one it is.
-
• #568
It's not the stem. It's the top cap that looks shit.
Get a new one and see the difference.

Kinda like the new one, slim and long (even thought they're the same length).

Or get one knocked up by someone with access to a 3D printer. That will save you another few g's
-
• #571
What do you do for the bike to need to be the legal weight?
How serious do you need to be in racing for them to weigh your bike?
-
• #572
They won't weigh your bike at the UK premier calendar events, it's hardly likely to happen at the BC club run

There is a flat bearing cap underneath the semi-conical carbon one.
I could remove that and put the stem directly on the bearing cover, if I wished to appear on Slam that Stem.

I doubt anyone will ever weigh it, the 6.8 was a personal target I set myself.
