At last.. info on how to get there..

"Please also note that the inside of the venue will be warm, with the temperature at an average of 28 degrees Celsius."
Crikey! Is that optimal temperature for track cycling??

The King Edward is just over the road from the station and is really nice- http://www.kingeddie.co.uk/
Sounds good to me, they've got grub, I imagine by 6pm I'll be ravenous, both for a feed and a pint. You on for that too?
There are going to be restrictions on people bringing their own packed lunches etc into the Olympics.
I hope they are not going to be stupid about it for this event. -

This may not be much consolation for anyone who missed out on tickets but I think I learnt something this morning. I don't know who makes the decision on exactly what "tickets go on sale at 10am" means or whether it's automated or whatever, but I'm *pretty *sure they actually went live about 9.59ish. I checked my time with the speaking clock and everyfink and started hitting the 'back' button about 9.58 for no other reason than being impatient. Bingo.
Just for next time, like. :)

I dunno- for various reasons I will be knackered. But I'm going with a friend who has to write an article about it for BT Storytellers or something (that's how he got tickets) and I should imagine he might fancy debriefing with some other cyclists, and something to eat of course.

Er, what??
"Although bicycles are not allowed into the Olympic Park, cycle parking is available outside Stratford station. "
-

I know. Its misleading.
I'm due at the Velodrome tomorrow, and i have just been speaking to reps there who are not sure if i can arrive by bike tomorrow...... er, hello?I think its because they havent put the infrastructure in to park bikes yet. Can anyone confirm that?

Yep - its physics innit:
Air density reduces as temperature increases. Therefore, raising the temperature inside the velodrome will reduce the drag force acting on the rider, so they can go faster.

If it's true bicycles are not allowed into the Olympic Park, this Word Cup is going to be the worst ever.

This formula is nonsense, drag force is calculated sompletely differently.
