• Heh. Was slightly concerned my cheery "Oh, nice pouch" was at risk of being misinterpreted.

  • Really?

@marky - so the truth is regardless of your child's footie practice you'd not have accepted my invite to bring them for cupcakes? :(

Not sure how you make that leap of logic. We'd loved to have come, just as I'd happily have helped out when you asked, had it fitted in with plans.

I was just amused at missmouse's post of "style and celebrity" in the context of Made In Chelsea.

Why is everyone so sensitive these days?

  • I can't wait till April. I hope Jordan will join us on a next Tweed Run.

  • Why is everyone so sensitive these days?

if you spend too much time on here you start to ovulate at the same time

  • Why is everyone so sensitive these days?

It's the tweed, it makes everybody itch.

  • Can someone tell me who Erin O'Connor is? Is she someone from that new fangled technology the Television?

  • She is an aesthetically pleasing female human mammal. I bet she's dead tall in the flesh.

  • A model in her mid 30s who does stuff for M&S according to google.

  • Female model?

  • She's a male model who's a woman.

  • Ah I get it now

  • Ah I get it now

That's something she's probably never said about a decent meal.

To be fair, she is a bit of a cycling advocate.

    and many more...

  • That's something she's probably never said about a decent meal.

Actually Clive, she has. She was quite vocal about the pressure the industry put on young models and the consequent eating disorders. It probably didn't help her career. She's nice, if you can forgive her for coming from the West Midlands...

  • I notice that at no point you mention the word fun

    fixehs are serious bizniz.
    fun is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> way

  • Can someone tell me who Erin O'Connor is? Is she someone from that new fangled technology the Television?

No, but I can sell you her framed autograph for £100. Would help if your name is Paul too.

  • Clive thanks for the post. She says inthe Guardian interview she always wears a helmet so I went back to my photos is that a helmet http://www.flickr.com/photos/funny_cyclist/6408593259

  • She is an aesthetically pleasing female human mammal. I bet she's dead tall in the flesh.

Incidentally, I wasn't suggesting she's only aesthetically pleasing. It's just that that's what she's best known for. I re-read the above comment and it sounds really patronising and, frankly, sexist. I think Mrs. O'Connor is delightful and a credit to cycling, for the record :-)

  • I think she's great. Friend of mine who got me her autograph bumped into her on the street and knowing my opinion of her, got her autograph for me. She was very level-headed and down to earth, and had been travelling on the tube too with all the 'civilians'. Plus I love odd looking people.

All of this is much better than knocking the tweed run.

I would say thats a bit of a harsh name to call her companion!

  • I dont think anyone is knocking the tweed run, its a great thing, and all the better for its raised profile, its just funny to look at the number of 'fashonisatas' that have tagged on to it, and that a fashion label named after a sport that no one connected to it has ever played is using it to raise its profile

  • was the man from dashing tweeds wearing denim? it looked like denim but maye it was a fancy new twill that just looks like it.

  • The thing that is unusual in all of this that the Tweed Run is something that was started by ordinary folk, our friends, but the beautiful people and fashiony types have seen how much fun we're all having and want a slice of the pie! Any of the people I chatted with who turned out to be affiliated with the Rugby store seemed almost apologetic, even slightly in awe of 'genuine' Tweedsters.
Basically, it's a brilliant fancy dress on wheels, as it was from day one, and people just want to join in.

  • You do get some proper tweedsters on it, eg David Saxby, a man who knows tweed pretty much better than anyone else in the UK, i used to get my shooting kit through him but hes got a bit spenny now

  • tweed as far as the eye can see, love it.
