For the January ride I vote not the 7th/8th as that is my birthday weekend! (Though if anyone wanted to do a short city ride at 6 on the 8th before a very definite pub ending I'd be up for that and hopefully bring a couple of people from Cambridge with me)
Easts ride sounds more like my pace!
I'm up for another bash at proper riding in January if it's not on a Sunday. Also, to those not on the ride, the festive bike was mine this time, I encourage people to follow the Christmas spirit.

alanI am unfortunately out for this as the client is insane and has decided, the day before the launch, to change all the things thus conspiring to keep me indoors for yet another glorious weekend. Bleargh.

Yep, bright sunshine in south London this morning, but distinctly slippy and likely to be trecherous on country lanes. Take it easy out there people, and no leaning. A few of us are heading to Saaf drinks Christmas party this coming Monday, of you feel there is not enough excess and bad behaviour in your life at the moment. Full details in the "general" section.

And you're the wrong gender?
Zing! I've been thinking about all these ladies rides that have men on them...

Well, is there any point to calling them a ladies ride if dudes go on them? Then it's just a lady-organised ride, which is fine and all.

'Ladies' majority rides' :)

That works!

BianchiMasher has reminded me of the existence of the Doodle timetable and the day we're all free is only 4 weeks away! Anybody have any suggestions for routes? TNRC-theft again or something different?
I'm going to ignore the boy-bashing (no euph) from last week because it makes me sad.

Oh and will try and think up/recce a south route....have got some Kent-ish knowledge I could tap up.
As previously mentioned if anyone else wants to lead/suggest routes, go for it!

It's in the diary.
Part of my elaborate generally be healthier new years resolution is to go on a long/longish ride every weekend. So this works out nicely.
-
• #493
Looking forward to it already.
Sally I want to do more longish rides too so would be up for pathetically-paced company if you ever wanted. -
• #494
I'll race you all to last place and win by a long margin. That is how I roll.
-
• #495
Realised I sounded like I was calling you pathetic... Actually meant that I was.
bothwell that sounds like my kind of challenge. -

How about we head out east for this one so that it's fairly flat? Think the big downhills are fairly shady fixed in this weather. But obvs happy with whatever is decided!
Becky, company is always welcome!

East is a good call Sally-face. Will have a think about routes/destinations
-
• #498
How's the Ingatestone TNRC route? That's meant to be fairly flat isn't it?
-
• #499
I heard the words "fairly flat", "pathetically slow" and "race you all to last place". Me!!
Bothwell, back off. That spot is mine, everyone knows that :-).

Oho, we'll see about that...
How can I see the various TNRC routes? Are they stored somewhere easily accessible or is it just a case of going through the TNRC threads page-by-page looking for anything interesting?
