Nice pics. I particularly like the seasonal decorations on one of the bikes. Looks like you had nice quiet roads for it. I was home feeling envious even though I'd had a great night ride to Southend Friday/Saturday and an afternoon of drinking.

I think the Saturday morning rolla ride crossed paths with you at one stage somewhere between Hertford and potters bar? We certainly greeted a group that we guessed was youse lot. Looked like a good number and a good ride.

January ride dates? I like any of the following: Sat 7th, Sun 8th, Sun 22nd, Sat 28th, Sun 29th. Maybe nearer the end of the month will be better weather.

Just a word of warning about the Ride East, I went on it last year. It was at the end of Feb. It's VERY much a social ride, a LOT of stopping, to drink, buy beer, or for no reason at all, etc. Last year it got quite cold and started raining, but we weren't moving fast enough to keep warm!

It's a nice route, and with the Bow towpath floating thing now finished, would be even better, but don't expect a "proper" ride.

Oh...maybe we should just nick the route and do it ourselves? Or is that not cricket/cycling?

Is it a horrible Box Hill route or is it the "easy" Box Hill route that poots invented (or equivalent)? Am v tempted as a work project is scheduled to finish the day before so I'll be in need of an invigorating ride out somewhere.
