I've long lurked this thread, often dribbling saliva on myself in jealously and desire, but have now pulled the trigger and bought myself a LOOK 595 frame. I have taken a few pictures of it during the assembly stages, but I cannot complete it as I'm still waiting for few parts to arrive.
My question is: is this thread an acceptable place to post the building process, à la current projects style, or should I wait until its complete and post that.
I don't want to offend the mightiness of this thread by posting incomplete bike pictures.

Current projects/a project thread, surely?

The rather beautiful KG253 (Columbus Nemo) wasn't carbon either, still regret not buying one when I had the opportunity
One of these was recently sold on BikeRadar in my size the bloke lived up the road from me, just couldn't justify it at the time absolutely gutted I didn't buy it

Zipp 303 Firecrests?
Not the deepest by a long stretch but the geek in me wants a set. -
• #314
They have a great rep, but do slightly beg the question why not the 404 FC's, as the development of these rims is aimed at yaw performance more and more now.
-
• #315
I'd go 404.
Time to start window shopping. -

Did I mention that it is my birthday next month?
-
• #317
No stock of your poxy freehub choice.
However, it's my birthday in September, you could buy the Campagnolo version for me as an early birthday present. -
• #318
Ok, you buy me those for my birthday next month, and I'll buy you the same wheels for your birthday in September.
You do know that they now come with old tub cement on them?

Weird, it was me that bought that KG253 off Bike Radar.
I couldn't really justify it either but super glad I went for it, it's a lovely frame (despite 90s shell-suit themed paint job). See 10 or so posts back for a pic of it now built up.

^^I'd love a modern version of those. All my bikes have Keos and it means commuting in road shoes. Investigated the possibility of modifying some mountain bike shoes to take road cleats, but gave up. Someone needs get on this.

Those wheels are good but shit bang-for-buck. I'd go Mavic CCU
Yep crappy rusty LOOK vintage MTB (VTT?) > crappy rusty other vintage MTB.
Although I did see a crappy rusty GIOS MTB on a recent trip to Poole - that was hot.
