So, they're doing this ride without planning routes or accomodation? Fun way to do it but I was under the impression that these guys had been preparing for months!

touring always going to very very demanding on the bike, even for a 9 days tour, I'm not surprised such thing happen!

• #129
Yes but on day 2?
-
• #130
As far as I know, they've got camping gear. 3x 2 person tents is what I remember being told.

Sounds like one of those failures that happened either at a stop or low speed and you feel very relieved that it didn't happen at speed or on a downhill!

Burton Dasset is a great place! That photo is surprisingly lacking in sheep though!
Jess has put out a request on Facebook about an hour ago, any one help out with this?

could do it in 4 days if I used the (highly unsuitable) route that google maps suggests right off the bat.
-
• #148
I'd give you five to be kind. I'm not working either.
Seriously Tom, do you fancy it?

Organisationally I couldn't cope, financially I can't afford it, but I've got the legs for it and plenty of shit to work out of my system if someone takes care of the doing and the thinking. Not carrying anything on the bike though. Loaded touring can fuck right off.
Not clear from that post :/ I thought maybe accommodation, but not sure.
