  • Coolio, I'm thinking the Gravesend route is going to be more compatible with burgers, but we can always make a late-ish call on route choice.

  • Have fun all. I can't do Thursday either; suspect I may be done with afterworkers for the foreseeable future, but glad they'll still be happening.

Sure between all of us we can keep them warm until work chills out.

I'm doing the HotA course during the day if anyone's after slacker miles in the sun. If not, well, think of me while you're office-ing, yeah?

    Grrrrr

Gravesend is good with me - never been out that way before and a burger is definitely a high priority.

  • anyone free now for a little 2hour ride?

  • Leaving very shortly!

  • From work I hope you mean.

  • Yessir

  • Fun Afterworker yesterday. Upstart and I made it 2-up to Gravesend and back. Bit too much dual carriageway, and Shooters Hill was a bit of a sting in the tail. Ouch. Happy times though.

  • THHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEAAAAAADDDBBBBOOOMMMMMBBBIIINNNNGGG!

    Only kidding. :D

  • Oliver, are you feeling ok?

  • Can't you tell? :)

  • Next Monday, and possibly next Thursday too, are looking like they need a bike ride in the diary. Anyone keen?

  • Oliver troller

  • well up for monday, need a bike ride asap

  • ^ Nice one. Assuming Rosie's still on a work tip, I fancy trying this one on for size.

Weather looks like it could close in later, so will keep an eye on it during the day. 6pm, bottom of Osborne St, is it?

  • yeah, definitely out for at least the next couple of weeks I reckon. Rubbish, though it means I can get more running in the mornings in (which I should probably be doing anyway what with marathon approaching).

Route looks good, very afterworker appropriate. I did a ride yesterday which would make quite a good afterworker with a bit of tweaking - around Bexley > Hextable > Otford > Knockholt way. The a21 isn't so much fun when it's not 10pm on a weeknight though.

  • I went pseudo afterworking yesterday too. Wanted to do Titsey in daylight with a freewheel and a big gear. As it turned out it was so foggy I could barely see past my handlebars.

  • As an alternative tomorrow there is this, heading north.

It's a recce I need to do for this ride. It does mean a train back to town from Royston (about 45 mins direct to KX) but the flip side of that is plenty of lanes to enjoy on the way there.

    Starting from Osborne St, naturally.

  • Windy Millers pt 1 sounds like a good call.

Ashley, you're north side right? Does that suit?

Tim - I can't click through that link for some reason. Can you email me .gpx? Cheers pal.

  • Connect was down a bit back, should be ok now

  • mmm, still nothing

  • Ahem. It was set to private.

    Should actually work now.

  • I've never been one for tagging, but having discovered I am entitled to 25 tags as thread starter I think I'm going to have to abuse this privilege.

    This may require some thought.

  • sorry dumps, other commitments have come up im out unfortunately :(

  • Ash - no problem.

Upstart - always with the headwind, sheesh.

  • Going to Southend, train back, in about two hours, if anyone fancies joining. It's gonna be windy as hell...
