  • Bet it no get catched an' all

  • it did. at the next red 30 metres ahead.

  • It did? That's rare as hen's teeth, maybe @lucas might need to rethink his driving standard.

  • Started cycling in again after buying a motorbike late last year. Used the Brompton cos practical (for me) with luggage and sensible rack. Tomorrow the single speed to justify the bosses response today of 'motorbike and Brompton you have a history of questionable travel decisions' 😂

  • Best Commute ever. Loads (relative to normal- ie. 10) other cyclists, all smiley.

  • Sun singing, birds scudding, clouds shining.

    Great morning.

  • I did end up going out in Balham last night.

  • My commute is now an 8 metre walk to garden office shed thing, since going freelance.

I'm banking time gained in transit for regular lunchtime/mid-afternoon rides, which is working nicely: low traffic + can go any direction i want as long as i end up where i started.

  • I clipped a bloke's wing mirror this morning. No damage, and I apologised, but he was unimpressed.

  • Anybody else getting attacked by the fucking tree pollen already?

The odd aggressive hack didn't spoil a lovely ride in mind.

  • "If your vehicle wasn't so unnecessarily large, none of this would have happened! No go park this thing somewhere and think about what you've done!"

Brush off some invisible dust from your bike/bag/body while looking down your nose at driver and move off.

  • Heading southbound on Tower Bridge approach, I overtook two other cyclists and was beeped at by a motorbike behind me. Couldn't work out why though. Perhaps because I was in the middle of the road, but surely I can be there? I'm overtaking...

As soon as we hit the bridge, he starts filtering and has to stop behind a van, at which point I stopped behind him and said 'Beep beep!' Because he had every right to be there but I can be a douche back, right? That's allowed, surely.

  • Glorious sunshine commute on the Moultonator this morning. loaded up with office supplies. Overtaken by pretty much every other cyclist I saw. But didn't care. 9/10

  • If its stays like this I might just get a tan! Apart form seeing a school kid under a car (he was already surrounded by people so kept going) it was a good ride!

  • saw a complete rack failure last night. the mounts at the top of the rack had let go and the whole twin pannier rack set-up fell backwards off the bike only attached at the rear axle. not fun.

  • That, is an awesome bike and I love it.

  • I was beeped from behind on Holloway Rd last night. Flashed the Vs to whoever was behind me. She (for the driver was a she) overtook me and stopped at red lights. I slowed down at the passenger window which was opening. She said she had beeped me to tell me I was pulling out to overtake a parked car. I said I knew I was pulling out to overtake a parked car. Yes she said - but I just wanted to let you know. Thanks lady.

  • That, is an awesome bike and I love it.

I'd say that was a matter of taste.

Oh shit, I'm turning into @Oliver Schick

It is a cool bike tho.

  • The bike looks fantastic!

Is that with a new replacement fork? Was it hard to get hold of?

  • Thanks :) Ended up getting a rear fork from Moulton Preservation, it's an original that has been rebrazed and strengthened so should be good for another 50 years.

  • If you make it part of your training, and they are decent quality miles then go for it.

If it's a stop / start trafficfest, then treat them as junk miles that are going to tire you out with little benefit.

I'm 18 miles each way - I seldom ride it more than twice a week, and then only at recovery pace.

  • There was an old man laying down on the street, on St Paul's Rd just before Highbury corner, around 8.30. He looked like hit by a cyclist while sneaking between buses (I'm assuming), he was bleeding badly and there were two cyclist comforting him.. Has anyone else got any info about?

Spoiled my commute big time.. 0/10

  • I went past that about 8.45. 2 police cars, ambulance etc dealing to the man lying on the road, couple of cyclists sitting on the kerb with emergency blankets. Police were telling all the drivers to turn around. Looked grim

  • I was walking the dog and saw the helicopters overhead, I though that something might have happened on Holloway road. Sounds nasty.
