How much space will you have?
How much window space?I'd like to see one of the steel Guerciotti Record road frames built up with Campag.
I'd like to see your budget-priced merino jerseys in the flesh. When do you open?
(That is probably higher up in the thread but can't be arsed to look) -

Lots and lots of track hubs and if you have any plans to do any more alloy track frames get them in ASAP. If deep carbon clincher rims get sorted some of them too please
I was going to post this.

There's only 1 size of hammer = 1100.

I was in Bicycle Magic yesterday. The news, I hear, is that PX will have their first bits of stuff in the shop sometime this week.
Watch that space.
FWIW, I'd recommend BM to anyone, great shop. Support your LBS. -

A kindred spirit!
A hammer is missing from my toolbox and I feel naked with only 5 at my disposal.
If in doubt, have at it with a hammer.

I like the idea if ordering online and collecting from the shop. Best if both worlds - big selection but you don't need to store everything at the premesis.

or an argos kind of business, with an efficient stock area and an efficient selling space. I've not been there in a while, but the space under the Student Halls is MASSIVE and not used (for several years, dunno about now)

That may be true, but surely it is inefficient to have two warehouses, two lots of warehouse staff etc.
May as well maintain a day to day stock in the shop, and get the orders down the M1 overnight.
It would help to keep the prices down.

You're the only basic tool outside if you can't be bothered to pack spare or at least a glue less patch - it will fit in your pocket with a couple of levers and a mini-pump, Xander.

It was a stupid mistake but i took my toolkit out of my bag one night because i had to do some work on another bike i did have a spare inner tube with me tho.
got a puncture at 4am and was stuck with a new inner tube but no spanner to take the wheel off! fail
I think if you listen to us you will end up with half a million quid in stock.
How about as a customer the purchase goes as follows:
That way you don't have to keep a massive stock selection, you can keep it in the warehouse and put it on the (daily?) delivery truck. You get additional revenue as a percentage of people will pay a mechanic to fit a part. Sell people coffee to drink as they fit their parts- you can give tea away free if you want.
You'll end up as the number one choice for both online and shop bought parts as you combine the two- benefit of internet prices plus the comfort of a qualified mechanic- and you get the extra margin from the fitting work.
