  • Have a saddle library, can borrow/rent saddles for 2 weeks to see if you like them before shelling out for one.

    deals on bulk inner tubes

doing rentals on TT bikes might help the tri crowd who don't want to splash out on a TT bike

  • dacc, did you just say "tri crowd" and "don't want to splash out" in the same sentence?

    #fail

  • +123 on the tools, basic or otherwise - 3 shops in Central London and not one of them had a bog standard plastic/ rubber handled 32mm headset spanner

Talking of tools, I'd like to see a good selection of tools available for purchase. It's nice to be able to hold a tool and try it out before buying it.

I need more park tool spanners in my life.

  • If you need any staff I live very close by and I'm from the north too...

  • A Zero tolerance approach to tashes and ray-bans

And people under 30 who have big beards, and Australians, and people with handlebars less than 36cm wide, and anyone using a disc on the road who isn't a TTer, and anyone riding singlespeed with only a front brake, and anyone under 5' 9", and anyone over 6' 4".

For now that's enough to be getting on with, I'll come up with some more later.

  • Racialist. You love Aussies. You told me that night we spent together in Belgium.

You should know by now what a fickle heartbreaker I am. I said the same thing to some New Zealanders and Canadians on the same night.

You gotta draw the line somewhere, it's just not right to have people wandering about with such audacious height discrepancies. Health and safety and all that.

  • You played the H&S card.

chucks in towel. More like a face cloth for you I suppose.

Ill take a job aswell! and im from the north (london)

  • Tubes, in all makes, sizes and prices. Yeah, a Beto foot pump with working pressure gauge :)

    +1 on both counts

  • If I want to pick up, say a 14tooth DA cog locally I could go to three shops and not get it, one shop wouldn't do track stuff at all, one would have a 14t but it would be shit quality and the other would have DA cogs but not in a 14t, I would waste half a day and wish I'd just ordered it online.

I actually have DA cogs which come with purchased wheels and bikes. I tend to buy those track bikes and they never come with anything handy like 16-17t.

  • 650c training tubulars (for the road, with puncture protection).

  • Tufo tape.

  • A BIG Thanks to all of you that contributed to this thread.
I'm going to tell the powers that be they need to include the following:

A friendly shop that lets you bring your bike, that's kind to newbies with really knowledgeable staff who aren't wankers. Repairs by the minute and a stand/ DIY area where you can fettle on your own. No coffee but perhaps tea and cider. A good stock of spokes, deep section wheels, track bits, some clothing. Stock of our classic on-one bikes, carbon road bikes and frames for proper roadies and trackies. A proper selection of quality tools, great prices. Late night and Sunday opening.
With regular coach trips up North.
A Zero tolerance approach to tashes and ray-bans
    Forum discount

  • The On-One track hubs and pista hubs, in black and silver, and 32 and 36H. At the sale price. ;)

And if you had a really good stock of black and silver spokes, either DT Competition or Sapim Race, at online prices, that would be a major win. I needed 280mm black double butted spokes recently and I literally had to order them from Germany.

I'm not asking for much, obviously...

  • 48H wheels, with touring rims.

  • And rack. Loads of racks.

  • Decent dual brake levers
    Polo mallets
    Protection clothing
    Red balls

  • And social skills.

  • sumo as chief mechanic ;)
