  • *VERY* interested

  • Fresh out of it's box:

Rear used for the Festive 500 and then Jan commuting:

  • I've got a front as well- as pictured, but with silver Pro II and spokes.

  • A quick ebay search suggests around £500-600 for a complete bike is fair market value.

  • why dont ur wheels match? :(
If both of them were black rims and spokes and hubs, i'd snap them up in no time .. still thinking ..

  • why don't your wheels match?

This is about as far as he can go to make his bike look undesirable to thieves.

They do- I have three TN719 to Hope Pro II wheels- one rear and two fronts.

One complete set of front+rear are all black, and I have a spare front (pictured on the bike) that as silver hub+spokes.

  • ok i'll take the all black pair, can you PM me the pics of those and the money that you are expecting, I am in london so will collect.

  • I'll get some pictures shortly Amey. Here's the frame:

Even with the post and headset it's actually impressively light.

Call it £400 with Thomson and 3T, £300 without, that sound fair?

  • Since the frame is stripped, can you weight it?

Can tell you my Genesis CdF with 525 tubing weight approx 2300g for the frame only.

  • 2.92kg as pictured, so with Thomson X4, 3T Palladio Team, mech hanger, steerer bung, seatpost collar, BB30 bearings.

  • That seems heavy when compared to the Genesis

  • Well, you can probably take off 600g for the fork, 172 for the stem and 159 for the seatpost, which would drop 931g off the weight. Add the seatpost clamp, headset and BB30 bearings and you're probably looking at a frame weight of around 1.75kg.

  • That seems heavy when compared to the Genesis

The Genesis was frame-only, no BB, no seatpost, no collar (I think) no headset.

  • Ahh misread, apologies, thought the fork was included..

  • Fork's definitely over 1000g on the Genesis.

  • The wonder is how I made my bike so heavy?!

Anyway- reckon my pricing for the frame is fair?

  • yes just put an advert for frame :P

  • The wonder is how I made my bike so heavy?!

I'm still puzzled by that, the whole Genesis came out at exactly 11kg including Brooks B17 after the many change of part (Crest + Hope, Deore derailleur, bar-end shifter, mudguard, 3T finishing kit).

  • Review said that the Boardman is 9.8kg, and the CdF is 11.3kg.

  • Think I might of found a good combo - Ridely Xbow with 105 and Discs! waiting on availability!

  • The PX XLS Force is looking pretty good value at £1300.

Tapered, PF30, full crabon and all that shizzle. Tyres aren't bad either.

    Frameset now available for £400;

  • Found and ordered the Cube Cross Race Disc, after not being able to find any bike in my size that I liked.

Thanks for all the help, now to sell the Langster

  • Well, fuck.

I'm toying with the idea of selling my CdF when my audax bike is finish, and probably replace it with a lightweight road bicycle.

And now that CX frame for only £400 which serve just as well as a roadie with disc.

  • Aesthetics and boat anchor weight are putting me off though.
