Have we said interstate is closing?
Really? That's sad, Bruno (?) is an ace guy... Been buying interesting bits of denim off him since the 90s...

I'm a 31, or 30 with a squeeze I'd think, in Edwins, think this'll fit?

I've no idea about Edwins. They have dumb sizing too, if I remember correctly I was a 30 in Edwin.
If you're an actual 30 or 31 these would fit you.

Edwins tend to come up a size big

Dov - Could you do an actual measurement on the waist please. I'm closer to 30" than 31" but will take them if they aren't too spacious.

What size are you normally, and what size do you think you need from Gustin? I was thinking about ordering some (I would need bigger than that too) but I don't know if they'll be long enough...

I'm generally a 34/34 (with a small turn up).
I have one pair of Gustin Jeans. American Heavy, 16.25oz. I bought them in 34 straight. Gustin sizing here. They came out pretty much exactly as advertised. I wear them just about every day, and they have stretched to be comfortable (very slightly too loose).
The problem I have is that the 34s come with a long 36 leg. I am too OCD to have them hemmed, so I have a double turn up. Sounds like you may not have issues on the leg front if you are worried about length.
I took a punt on the 33s, because they have a 34 leg and if they came as advertised, they should have a 34 waist, which would stretch to about a 35. Snug, but within reason.
Unfortunately, they turned up today as a true/small 33. I could close the button (just), but they were too tight to even consider wearing in polite company.
This is the issue with experimenting and having to wait for 2+ months for a result.

This would be the size i'd get, then most jeans stretch to comfy but not to lose. Getting anything bigger just ends up too big for me (i'm looking at you, second pair of Albam jeans)

No. These actually looked like jeggings. I'm not entirely sure I would have been able to sit down without having my testicles pop out through my nostrils.

Saw the Interstate shop was empty yesterday; gutted. Been shopping there since Starter jacket days in the late 80's.
The internet is killing street wear shops; Hideout is closing soon too.
-
• #1373
Did they have an online shop? Might've saved them...
-
• #1374
exactly - look at Oi Polloi up in MCR, thats the perfect way to have a shop/online shop/ profitable business with integrity

Interstate must have been the first shop where I bought a pair of Carhartt jeans.
Let's hope American classics won't go the same way.
