Just had a look at Private Stock. These bad boys are only $900. I'm moist.

^Didn't see that brand but today in TKMaxx I did find a pair of 31x32 slim selvage jeans which fit perfectly by a company called Private Stock - similar to, but not the same as, these ones on their site (next to a lot of absolutely hideous jeans). Mine say 100% cotton, Jap selvage. No idea of weight but feel about 12oz. I was about to drop £120 on a pair of Edwins so pretty stoked to have found these for £25!
Yup, I bought a pair of those for my brother in law. I'd easily have kept them for myself- better than the Kangols doing the rounds in there.

^^I know the levis store on Oxford Street have a chain stitch machine but I'm not sure if they do other brands. It's worth investigating.

obviously depends on how often you wear them.
I got a pair 15oz in may, they're still a bit stiff apart from the crease areas.
I wear them about once per week in average though. -
• #1343
Thanks Dron. I meant roughly how many wears? If you've been wearing yours weekly since may that's roughly 36 times.

Don't get Nudies, Rick... Wack jeans...

I guess so, though that doesn't sound like a whole lot.
also as they will wear quicker at the high stress areas they'll get comfortable after about half that. -

been wearing a pair of 14oz Edwins every day for 14 days, still going, they are getting less stiff. I reckon another 2 weeks.

You mad bro. Nudie are great. You can wear them on day one.
Selvedge jeans are so uncomfortable for the first year and they stink.

yeah seconded on the Nudies, they are a great brand, everything they do in the production is pretty ethical, they pay proper wages in countries where the wages are set very low and still share similar if not cheaper price points to equivalent edwins.
and i quite like the orange stitching details sets them apart from other but subtley.

The pocket design looks like some teen-girl brand.
