  • Got my Black 2 Slim's from Gustin the other day very happy with them. I got the 34/34 I like the fact they're really long as I like a big turn up (I've got them at 3.5") I am 6'3".

I just ordered the cone black in the regular fit. I'd been finding it really hard to find any black denim selvedge that wasn't stupid money. Gustin is great value.

  • Just scored a pair of Real McCoy's Joe McCoy slim fit jeans, I love their stuff so much and the whole range blows my mind but they are really pricey .

  • Picked up a pair of Levis 501 shrink to fit selvedge for £50 - seems like a good deal to me.

  • Had a quick sniff around Albam the other day. Their jeans have gone up from £85 to £110! They're now 'better finished on the inside' and '33" leg rather than 35"'. I'm not convinced they're worth the price hike.

  • shame, was thinking about getting another pair. 85 isn't a problem, but 110 is. And I need the 35 leg

  • FWIW I've seen a few pairs go on ebay for £30-£40

  • The new denim is well nice though

Although, agree like a lot of their gear it is pricey/spenny

  • I've got a pair of the older Albam slim jeans that I bought over the summer that are surplus. 31 waist, and shortened to a 32 inside leg, worn for about a month. £40 if anyones interested?

  • I've always thought Albam prices were a steal. £115 for Japanese selvedge, cut and sewn in Nottingham sounds reasonable to me. They are the equivalent of a Lee 101z, which sell for £130+ with less of a traceable supply chain.

Albam could price all their stuff for 30% more IMO. It's Margaret Howell with a less-refined cut and design. I have a pair of the jeans, I paid full price happily. They feel fantastic and I'm looking forward to giving them a soak in the new year.

  • Lee 101z are £130+ now?!?

    Amazements!

Nice choice how is the fit? I am looking for something similar to the LVC 1967 505 but in a heavier denim so interested how they compare

  • I'm an Albam fanboy but I think a lot of their stuff is pricey for what it is, the jeans for me are at the top end

  • I think at £85 the Albam jeans were great, but for £125 they don't stack up for me. From experience I think the quality of the denim isn't as good as other stuff you can get for that kind of money. The APC jeans for example wear much much better and last much longer before blowing out at the crotch.

  • ^I might be in for those jeans Ummar - just need to see how far from a 31 I am right now!

  • Let me know; I'm in no massive rush to get rid so can hold on til you lose the christmas inches

  • Thanks mate! Took delivery of a pair of 32" Edwin's today (which fit) so should be a couple of weeks and I'll be good to go. Cool?

Son of stag turnaround time for taking up jeans with chain stitch?

  • If anyone sees any BIG Es in TkMaxx please snag a pair for me in any leg/waist combo of 32/34. (in a prefect world I'd be 33x33)

    Amazing jeans for the cost.

    Thanks

  • ^Didn't see that brand but today in TKMaxx I did find a pair of 31x32 slim selvage jeans which fit perfectly by a company called Private Stock - similar to, but not the same as, these ones on their site (next to a lot of absolutely hideous jeans). Mine say 100% cotton, Jap selvage. No idea of weight but feel about 12oz. I was about to drop £120 on a pair of Edwins so pretty stoked to have found these for £25!

  • good digging Timmy, every now and then you get some good deals in TK but you got to dig

Basically they are really nice Levi's made from better materials jv , I would say the fit is very similar to the slim fitting 1967 but the denim is that really nice fluffy type .

  • Good news where did you get them from? Anywhere in London to try them on?

  • ordered a pair of these at about half price.

not selvedge, but dry denim so I hope they will fade nicely. I don't undertand the immense amount of acrylic and polyester, but they feel really good.

As far as I know Superdenim is the sole U.K. outlet .
