    Here:

  • ZOMG!

    Im out.

  • It's the way of these type of threads. A thread is started on some specific item of fetish and a few nice examples are posted. Then after a little while it becomes a land-grab, with everyone trying to out-do each other, and as a result the ugliest items available to humanity are displayed.

Then people like me leave the thread with the clear concept that their idea of what makes up a good example of fetish item xxx is stuck in the 1800s.

I'm comfortable with that. Now where are my brogues?

  • I think you're thinking about it too much! It's just a dump for random thoughts, enthusiasms or questions, and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Just ignore the willy-waving (I agree it's irksome). I have no problem admitting that I know sweet fuck all about the tradition of shoemaking; I just find it to be an interesting area of craft/culture and I like learning about such things. Plus wearing and looking after them is fun for a dull boy like myself.

  • Anyone know where I can get a belt fixed? The buckle bit needs re-riveting. Thought this might be a good thread for the question, don't really want to start a "belts" thread.

  • I reckon a decent cobblers would be able to sort it.

Try 'Son Of a Stag' on Dray Walk

  • cheers

  • I now have some of these and they are gorgeous.
(was very hard decision to not buy the vibram sole version...)

@ Balki from way ^^^ there - I had uggs as slippers 25 years ago. Loved them. Finally got rid of my second pair (as they honked) only a few years before they became hip. Bleeding edge fashionista.

  • anyone recommend a casual black leather shoe that'll work in a lot of settings? Importantly with jeans.

  • I'd love a pair of these:

In my internet browsings today, i've been eyeballing them myself, but need to see in person. may be silly when examined in the flesh

    going choo chopping tomorrow.

  • i wear these daily

  • a bit loud, but i think these are amazing

    What colour jeans?
Black shoes with blue jeans is a major fashion disaster.

  • It isn't at all.

  • No, the brown brogue/dark denim combo is a fashion disaster (especially if paired with Barbour International/Belstaff Trialmaster). Top Gear.....

    Errr, you what?

I'm wearing black Trickers today with dark indigo Levi's and I look fuckin ace! The black and navy contrast is broken up with a selvage turnup

    lol off you fuck

  • Touched a nerve dor...

  • I don't rock it myself, I think that brogues with jeans are a pretty bad idea in general, but if you're going to do it then brown brogues and raw denim is quite obviously the way to go. Self-confessed contrarians in this thread, one and all. And the shoes on this page (apart from the brown brogues that the guy wears every day above) are all fucking disgusting. You should all be ashamed.

  • It's all dependent on the shoe and the jean

If you bust a pair of shitty washed G-Star with a pair of moody brogues from Aldo you'll look a cunt

Nice pair of Trickers and a selvage indigo jean and you'll 99% of the time look ream

  • I love 'quite obvious' self-evident truths...
