Edward Green, among others, has a few models that are quite similar. Have a look at the Shannon boots at their Jermyn street shop.

Old man shoes are shoes than old men wear. Its not the shoes or clothing but the wearer that defines what is "young", "hip" or "square".
i wore the same when i was in the army because i had to
Let us not forget that the birthplace of the modern business suit was London and its model was the Army uniform--- same, actually, for the modern kilt as well. And the role model for the most stylish Italian suits? London again. Brioni, and later Kiton, took the English suit from Saville Row, raised the bar on workmanship and added Italian flare--- students outdoing their masters.
The British Army despite recent declines in standards through cost-cutting is still relatively well dressed. Robert Noble and Hainsworth are, for example, still making ceremonial cloths to the highest standards.

I'm sure Vass has a few similar models as well. Vaas, however, does not make shoes by width. You need to choose a fitting last and the lasts define the model.

Wasn't expecting them to be so comfortable. Trying to resist wearing them every day.

Yep, Alden ones no less.

Still got nause laces

the right trees are a good move. well done.
caring for cordovan is different to calf leather. have you looked into it and got your head around it? -
• #3242
It seems to be relatively easy compared with calf, not needing 'feeding' anything like as much. Wipe down regularly with a cloth and brush, plus a very sparingly-applied wax paste every couple of months. As well as the trees I managed to track down a couple of jars of Alden Colour 8 paste for cordovan.

I really am incredibly jealous of these shoes.
Best shoes on ere

But is there any reason for lacing them up like a pair of hiking boots?

Nice shoes mind!

But is there any reason for lacing them up like a pair of hiking boots?
I presume you mean as opposed to straight/bar lacing? Yes, there are. They aren't dainty dress shoes and I'll wear them casually mostly, with jeans and the like. I rarely wear a suit. I particularly like the look of crosses on this style, especially given their American, Ivy League pedigree (straight lacing is more of a European thing).

Cheers! I fucking love them.

Boxfresh innit, therefore 'display' laced.

.Ivy League....stop being a douche, get 'em laddered!
-
• #3249
I can't believe you actually used the expression "douche".
Is north London making you soft?

Display lacing comment was referring to laces going inwards at the top eyelets instead of outwards, which is what they do in shops to conceal the laces and stop them looking a mess. Wasn't ever planning to ladder them so deal with it.
The gushing description is definitely a tl;dr!
