274km to go, miscalculated thought I'd done more yesterday so was aiming for 300km by the end of today, still doable but my knee and hip are killing me, along with my 'arris.
Also starting to run out of good will credits with the wife.

https://www.strava.com/routes/3824046 that's the route. I can put you in contact with the guys who are starting in Bath if you like, or you can just nip down the A4 and meet us at Bristol Dropouts on Stokes Croft for 8:30. Drop me a message on facebook if you want any more info, its Rob Borek.
I managed a gruelling 10 kilometers today, chasing a load of lads on big squishy bikes around the forest of dean on a rigid SS. I'm not sure my arms will be able to hold up my body all day tomorrow but we shall see!

Thanks, but I rode Burrington Combe a few days ago and am in no hurry to repeat it!
I've got a 130/1200 route I'll do instead. Taking it eeeeeasy

nice one! You wanna ride to Henley on 29th? Good pork and stuffing sandwich.
-
• #1460
Haha Burrington is the easy way up compared to Harptree! ;-) have a nice ride dude.

Mmmmm, I'm at my ma's in Camberley, so doesn't make much sense. Really enjoyed heading West on Xmas Eve as I was over near Salisbury. It was really nice so I might just do that again.

Burrington is actually a great climb, I really like all the riding around the Mendips. I'm just not in great shape atm and the cumulative climbing is getting in to my legs 😣

I'm at 232. I know that if I put the hours in I can finish. My other half though, who had never ridden more than 10 miles before October is at 198. I am somewhat in awe. You may see her doing RP laps on a purple bike with a too low saddle. I may even be with her. If you see either of us, do say hello.

I'm at 27km. Cruising along. Prolly won't finish all 500. :(

I'd rather go up Harptree than down Harptree though.

If my cunting Garmin didn't go into some crazy boot loop leaving me stuck in the middle of nowhere I would have completed the 600k audax and ridden home for 700k. Instead it was wing it to Bath, get train, ride from Waterloo. The only reason I have a track from this is because I took my etrex believing the 800 would end up deleting my data and I wouldn't get it verified. Didn't think it would totally fuck up. The 800 was good and since I sent the 810 piece of shit back I had no backup. Route sheet was no help because I couldn't find the right turns. Garmins suck.

Still, I did get to trash my brand new drivetrain and test a Revelate bag (full of stuff I didn't use).
150k to go
