    You can bring me 4

  • John can I dibs a couple more poles if any are left over, tah.

  • There are now 2 spare poles, and 2 more which punkture has first refusal on.

First come first serve on those.

  • Ok, cancel that, Jono has first refusal on the other 2 now.

  • gormley said he would buy the two that I have faltered on

  • Ok, that's fine, Adam, if you pay for them they are yours, and I'll bring them tomorrow.

  • Has hamsandwich collected his yet? I gave him one on the condition that I got one back from his order...

  • Nope, I'm bringing them for him to Newington tomorrow.

Anyone else from this list want them tomorrow?

    dublinkevin ?
    Dean ?
    Mrlemon ?
    dt ?
    hamsandwich - yes
    Aram - yes
    Jono - yes
    Emmet - yes

  • Nice... :]

  • All the poles have now been sold.

If you want more, or anything else that we can distribute, then let me know here.

Once there is enough demand I'll do another pole order.

  • The LHBPA are just working on getting a shipment of Milwaukee poles, these ones:

    http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9558

The price will probably be somewhere around £7-£9 each, but I'll confirm that later.

As it's quite an effort to get these poles from the US, we won't be doing orders that often, so consider what you might need for the next 6 months.

I'm happy to take orders from other UK scenes, as I did for the Perro del Mallet poles, but there will probably be a surcharge, as we are primarily about London players, and it will mean extra work for us.

So if you want some please put your name on the list, we ideally want to order at least 50.

    1. John H - 4 poles
  • I'd like 5 at £7.

But I'll wait until we have a confirmed price before getting on the list.

  • how do they compare to the gary hand job ones?

  • Lpc anyone?

  • +1 x3.

  • I'd like 5 at £7.

But I'll wait until we have a confirmed price before getting on the list.

I'm not going to hold anyone to their requests, just as with the Perro del mallets there ended up being more demand once we ordered, so we can probably get rid of them either way. But what I do need is a rough number, as we will get a different price for 10 than for 100. So I can't confirm the price until numbers are confirmed. Just suffice to say I expect it to be closer to the £7.50 mark, I'm just saying £9 to be sure.

how do they compare to the gary hand job ones?

    Lpc anyone?

I can't comment on that, but I know people like both, if people want more Perro poles I'm happy to order them, there hasn't been any demand since the last order, but plenty of people have asked me for Milwaukee ones.

As Max has suggested, the place to compare them is probably on the LPC forum, not a public forum, the LHBPA will order whatever it's members want, as long as we are happy with the quality, which we are in both cases.

  • how do they compare to the gary hand job ones?

Chan and Gabes have both played with the Milwaukee ones and Perro del Mal(let).
Perhaps they could comment on this....
    I know I'm biased ;)

  • Honest answer, but I have not done any of the actual science (not even weighing them): Milwaukee poles seem to have a thicker wall. All things being equal, the result of this should be obvious. They will be heavier, but stronger. You have to decide what you want from a polo mallet - light vs heavy, strong(er) vs weak(er). Like Lucky does with his heads, maybe you'll find a place for both in your mallet arsenal (I brought one of each to Karlsruhe).

To put things into perspective as to what a weaker shaft means, Lewis from Australia just wrote me to tell me he had just retired his perro del mal(let), which he bought from me before the worlds, after 11 tournaments (and a world tour).....
