  • Think you're smart, eh, what with your GPRS disabled whatnots & stuff, eh?

Won't look so clever with my pump in your front wheel, now will you, sonny?

GPRS? the route is a list of road names etc ... Nowt to do with the 21st century ...

  • Av ya dun it ?

    not yet

    How bout now ?

  • not actually sent it off yet, but filled in the form

    that is progress

  • Gonna be a pretty large group! Can't wait.

Shoots you running 47x19, the Forum Golden Ratio?

  • If he is, he'll be walking up at least 3 of the hills! :-)

  • Ok time to talk elevations. Tell us more please Bill?

I for one am happy to walk up the odd hill, but if it's going to be a day of climbs I'll think again.

Don't remember exactly, but my recollection is that there two or three where you might stall. Similar to L2B. Fine on 66", I would say.

  • Okey thanks mate - rolling mostly, but with some significant climbs too. Think I'll risk it fixed.

  • got me forms back yesterday.
very odd to have a letter addressed to myself in my handwriting.

Significant is probably pushing it. I doubt whether there is any land round there over 350m.

  • Great. Ta.

    Oh dear...
    shakes head

    48 x 19 is the magic gear

    I'm not.
    I won't be.

L2B was last done in OCT. on 48 x 18... No stalling.

With no significant hills, I think 48 x 18 or 19 sounds fine to me.

    @ Skully... Nice GB btw.
    Scratch that.
Feckin' Lish, Lust, Sex. ; )
Will it be built up in time I wonder.

  • Does 100k count as audax ?

  • ^Good question.
    Probably not, but then again ;

On April 3, 1904 the first 200 km audax ride was held, followed by the first 100 km ride on June 26 of the same year.

It's simply seen as an audacious event.
Being that the weather is so shite and it's on the 9th Jan, I'd say yes.

I'm sure someone* will be along shortly to say more on the matter.

*Olly, BMMF, andyp etc.... you're up.

  • i now have envelopes
