Ooof, bad luck Des. Heal fast, the TNRC season is not too far away!

Cheers fellas - rather a rib than collar bone any day. Riding should be a pretty neutral position, so hopefully back on the bike for a few spins soon. Still a fine day out

Yeah you reckoned you'd done your rib eh des, and you were right. Didn't stop you though.
@Olliver no Des did that on an earlier small winding winding and odd camber, somewhere after the first checkpoint, but before Coombe Gibbet. A high hedge had meant an icy patch took us by surprise somewhat. Immediately before that we'd arrived at the scene of another rider who'd taken a tumble on a bend, a mile before that, and we had possibly been a little gung ho given that sign.
What was amazing about the ice was how patchy it was simply according to whether any sunlight had not hit it. It meant that small patches could appear rather unexpectedly in shade, on otherwise dry roads. Pretty damned treacherous.
I should clarify that my pal Wig was looking for an adhoc shim for a seatpost problem. Not an adhoc crackpipe or anything. And guess what we eneded up fixing the post with? My superduper magic rubber tape (some will remember me banging on about that on the train).

I didn't hear a squeak out of my mudguard for the entire ride. I did here some squeaks on the ascents, but I think that was my knees...

@Joe hehe
@Damo meh. That's only post office issue. I'm talking about THIS STUFF. It's changed my life and it can change yours too. When I use it I think I'm almost as dope as Tommy the Brick. Almost.

I was being "funny".
Wow, you picked a brilliant day for it. Nice one.
Did you crash on the icy descent, Des?
Hope it heals quickly!
