So who gets the money from bridge ticket sales?
I'm looking to boost my relocation package and wonder if there's any opportunity for me to coin it in?

On BBC 1, Ive been watching Prince Charles talk about his mum's service, duty, and life, with the accompaniment of homemade film reels. Its absolutely magnificent.
To those of you misery-guts that do not appreciate the monarchy, and HM The Queen in particular, when you have some free time, I will be happy to remove the mote from thine eyes.
Long live The Queen!!
God Bless The Queen!!

Fuck off you tedious bore.
And you GA2G.
Last weekend the weather was glorious and should've been a bank holiday, this weekend the weather is going to be shit and that is all thanks to the fucking queen.

Did he talk about his father's well known serial adultery? Or his own? Or are those royal family values off limits during this time of sincere celebration?

Cuss me as much as you like Andypandy, but just make sure you stand to attention at the right time. ;-)
Anyway, you've met me Andy, so you, as the others that have met me, I expect you to call me Ashe.

• #559
Did he talk about how few *weeks *his parents saw him during his first five years?
-
• #560
Oh, there's a space between Andy's and my posts.....did somebody say something? No?
I didn't think so. As you were. -
• #561
Did he admit to any embarrassment over the greed of people like his relative the Duke of Kent?
-
• #562
I think you are mistaking it for the space between your ears.
-
• #563
Nope. I'm only seeing gaps now........empty posts. Must be someone I have on ignore. But thats impossible. I have said categorically that I would never place anybody on ignore on this forum.
Oh well. Maybe I did. How sad.

Eddie Izzard;
The British hated our national anthem. Because it's “God Save the Queen,” you see? “God Save the Queen.” Now the Queen lives in a very big house, she has barbed wire outside, and people with guns in front of that. That's one saved fucking queen, I'll tell you! That's the problem! She's overly saved! She has no idea of the struggle of human existence. We have to work for a living, raise a family… we don't have nannies all running around the place. It's what you've got to do in your life, you know?
So it's "God Save the Queen." No! It's too saved. It's "God Attack the Queen," that's what it should be! ( singing ) "God attack the Queen, send big dogs after her that bite her bum. Let them chase after her and rip her knickers off..." That'd be fantastic! Then she'd have to fight the crazy dog with a handbag with a brick inside of it.
And maybe she'd kill the crazy dog and everyone in Britain would go, "Hey, fair play to the Queen,- killed the crazy dog." And the Queen would have self-respect for the first time in her life! Yes. It would work. It'd be fantabulous.

Despite the neg reps that I have received, I will not quickly relinquish my view that Royal families can be a force for good, and at the least, of stability. Its not perfect, far from it, but in many places, it works, and works very well. And in the main, the people love them...

If you're listing loved monarchs, Carl Gustaf seems like an odd choice...

Not always. No political ruling system is perfect. All are flawed.

Can you imaging what a clusterfuck this country would be had they Queen and her coonies get in the way?
any political ruling system is always going to be better than the Monarchy.

Ed, I'm sorry, but that comment is actually so retarded, that it beggers belief. How many political ruling systems are you familiar with? One?
Honestly Ed, I won't hold back on this......that comment was just stupid. Very.

• #571
Would you say Fascism was a better political ruling system?
I am GLAD you neg-repped me. It proves my point quite exquisitely.

• #572
why does neg repping you prove your point? please explain this?

I'm not talking about Constitutional Monarchy which is a different system.

Sorry James, I will be avoiding you for all the rest of my life. I am one person that doesn't fall for you manipulation. I'll say this though, it is supremely effective, because even highly intelligent people that I respect fall for it. Not me though.
Yep, a few bridges are open to traffic, a few open to the public, the rest are restricted to ticket holders.
