YouTube - the prisoners - better in black
and @Tynan - you really haven't found what you're looking for have you ?
I used to go and see those fuckers most weekends in Hammersmith back in the early 80s, played with them a coupla times too... God-like... I feel very privileged...

Don't do it tynan!
Go for the slightly less talented Simple Minds instead.
Work up to U2This made me chuckle.
Themes from Great Cities?

U2 have made some decent tracks. of course they have, it's obvious. you don't get to be as successful as they are, for as long as they have been by being as bad as some of you claim.
They may be a bit dull, but nothing like as dull as listening to a bunch of hipsters & geeks wave their superior musical taste around like a big cheesy cock in the wind.
Nimby does it again, it hate it cos you're probably right. New Year's Day anyone? And the kids are screamin, the car needs cleaning, the missus wants to go to shitting Lakeside, and you think- Sunday, Bloody Sunday!

Piper at the Gates of Dawn is one of my fave LP's. Saucerful is ok, Meddle is ok - from there on it gets a bit sketchy - Dark Side is ok, but I can't really listen to it these days.
As for U2 - it's true, they do have the odd good song - weirdly, I really like Desire - maybe because at its heart it is Bo Diddley I dunno - I like The Real Thing too - probably due to hearing the Oakenfold remix off my chops somewhere. Ultra weirdly I like Elevation too. I couldn't listen to an entire album though. I put The Joshua Tree on once, and had to take it off...it was utter pish

The Drums are aural proof of how true this statement is.
as for U2, generally tedious, but have had their moments over the years.
