  • U2 may be a bit dull, but nothing like as dull as listening to a bunch of hipsters & geeks wave their superior musical taste around like a big cheesy cock in the wind.

    The condition you're talking about is known as Iliotibial band syndrome.

    //thee lesson?

    No, thee cock in the wind.

  • Tynan, that's a new fucking low mate.

    Well, I was at a desperate place in my life, I had turned each and every way, but I found no comfort, no solace, you've been there, you know how desperate a man can get, in these situations crazy ideas go through your head, suicide, U2, Go West and late period Pet Shop Boys, what can I say, I was a man on the edge, this thread was a cry for help.

    It's also a chaos magick thing too... Thee temple of Psychick Youth et al... Though it sounds like your east LA bands predate thee psych industrial weirdos.

  • Garage punk history moment:
    It PROBABLY all stems from a Cramps Capitol Radio interview in the mid-80s where Lux and Ivy TALK about the 60s East LA bands that all started their names with 'Thee' before the DJ plays Jump, Jive and Harmonize by Thee Midnighters... Seminal moment for me... Not long after that we had Thee Mighty Caesars, Thee Hypnotics, Thee Headcoat(ee)s etc. etc. etc.

    What I'm getting at is that all roads lead back to The Cramps... Someone should write that book, cuz it's fucking true... And Genesis was a massive Cramps fan, he loved the shit out of all that psyche stuff... Another regular at Alice in Wonderland BITD..
